Genuary 2026 Day 8: "A City. Create a generative metropolis." I did this circa 1998 as a ray-tracing experiment.

A disc-shaped spacecraft flying flat-ways through space, a nest of city blocks with some interconnecting pipelines on the face, a particle accelerator ring around the periphery interspersed with back-firing rocket engines.

#DailyHandwriting 17. What would you do with the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? As it is St Patrick's day, inspired by some other work here, I thought I'd make an extra effort. Haven't done anything like this in a long time, not entirely pleased with the outcome :/

If I would be able to walk
up to the end of a rainbow,
there'd be a moment of lush brevity
as time stood still on every clock,
and a hush from a crowd would fail
until it was quieter than a fallen pin;
my heart would flutter
as if my whole chest was aglow,
and I would quake as I reached
the gold-filled wooden crock,
then stand strong and proud,
then wail 'Yippe!' and dive right in.
