Last night, Aranoush Shirajian Yeretsian passed away at the age of 101. Aranoush, a remarkable women in her own right, was the daughter of Rev. Aharon Shirajian, whose extraordinary courage during the Armenian Genocide I documented in The Resistance Network. He also graces the cover of the book.

I’m honored to be giving this year’s Annual Armenian Genocide Commemoration Lecture at Cornell University. I’ll be speaking about ethnic cleansing and #genocide in the long 19th century, focusing on the #Native #American, #Circassian, and #Armenian cases.
