Syrians once trusted the international community Security Council & Obama when declared in 2011 that Assad’s days in power were numbered. Now, you ask us whether we trust HTS Trust 4 Syrians, is shattered. Rebuilding that trust with those in power is a task that must start from scratch. #syria

How many LGBTQIA+ individuals are imprisoned in Sednaya and other Syrian jails simply because they refused to join the dictator's army? Spread the word—together for a new Syrian constitution without Article 520, which criminalizes homosexuality. #syria #Damascus

Far from home, I switch off the TV, Turn to the music— only melodies, no human voices. My home is distant, yet my home is here. Its light, a sight for the heart. A jasmine tree suffices for Christmas, its blossoms, lanterns of hope. Flowers are light, and they will bloom once more. #syria #aleppo

My morning run in Highgate Woods ended at The House of Books in Crouch End, where I spotted Patti Smith on the cover of @carynrose.bsky.social book. What a morning. The book’s now with me.
