Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 14/09/2026You have to export your vehicles before you get to the border when you move out of the US and it is the most confusing, unintuitive process for normal every day people. I'm never moving to the US (and then out of the US) again. This convoluted paperwork is RIDICULOUS 010
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 03/09/2026I feel like I will be allowed to re-engage with the internet after we move because I will be seen as a human being again. It's a weird feeling. 000
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 03/09/2026The house hunt is now paused until we've picked up and moved back as it's too difficult to do from afar~ 000
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 01/09/2026In happier news, we fly home tomorrow which means I get to see my sweet boy again. It's only been 3 days but I miss him so much. 030
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Just saw 12 properties in one day and I'm exhausted. Our top pick sold tje day we saw it, our second pick is not looking like they're willing to drop the price to a level we want, and our third pick is way overpriced and the sellers seem stubborn. So we are likely gonna have to rent for a while. 110
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Of course we get evacuated from our house literally 2 days after selling it. 000
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 21/08/2026We got our first offer on our house 6 hours after listing and we were sold within 24 hours. Just over a month until we come home! 101
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Unfortunately we were supposed to list our house for sale yesterday but we had to delay it on account of everything being on fire. Living next to an active evacuation zone doesn't really scream "buy this house". 000
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Washoe County out here trying to reach the goddamn avatar state. The only act of God we're missing this week is earthquake. An actual common event we get a lot but just haven't yet this week. We got fires, floods, and tornadoes in the bag, though. 100
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 23/05/2026For a second I thought you meant the cook off that happens and the Nugget every year and I was very surprised bc usually my husband's work gets a table every year and I hadn't heard anything about it lol 100
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 19/05/2026Getting ready to do a gauge swatch on a portion of the blanket. I'm gonna play with my hook size to see if I can boost the number of stitches and rows for additional details on the rest of the blanket. Good luck, me~ 010
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 04/05/2026I think cooking steak might be my life's calling. I'm, like, really good at it. 240
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 28/04/2026We are blessed with Riker. He doesn't LIKE being poked and prodded, but he will let it happen, no matter what it is. He might look miserable about it, but he'll always let it happen. He's even saved us money on sedation for x-rays b/c he'll stay in whatever position they put him in and not move 😂 110
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 28/04/2026The key is keeping him busy with frozen chicken puree the whole time so that he doesn't care enough about the doggles or the lasers because he is a lab and food is life. 120
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 28/04/2026His physical therapist says he's doing very well and he won't need more therapy after the next session! 240
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 26/04/2026Honestly all credit goes to my dog. He provides A+ source material. 161
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 26/04/2026I've been working on designing a mosaic crochet pattern for a Riker blanket, so I've been vectorizing our favorite photos of him. He is the biggest of stretchers. 030
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 23/04/2026My oversized hooded cowl certainly turned out oversized, that's for sure. (this is a good thing, it is so cozy wozy) 000
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 21/04/2026lmao the lowest they could get the price down to was $309/mo. I guess I will not do this immunotherapy. I'd rather be miserable for 25-30% of the year and spend $309 on something else. 000
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 21/04/2026I called my insurance & THANKFULLY there was a mixup... so now I'm waiting for the prescription to be run again to find out what my co-pay is (she wasn't able to run a trial on her end) because I have a feeling even with coverage, it's still going to be expensive to the point it's just not worth it. 100
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 21/04/2026My allergies aren't just "the sniffles". They impact my daily quality of life. I'm not doing this for fun. 100
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 21/04/2026My insurance has covered almost nothing for me since we moved here and I feel like I'm throwing my fucking money into an endless void and it pisses me off, but I can't just not be insured because what if there's a medical emergency? One of the few things they MIGHT ACTUALLY COVER BUT WHO KNOWS. 100
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 18/04/2026Baby boy got to upgrade to medical shirt today. I was too nervous to bend his legs the amount that was needed to get them into the arm holes before, but it's been 3 days and he is technically allowed to start rehab exercises 3-5 days post-procedure so I felt ok about putting it on today. 010
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 18/04/2026I'm dreading the day this bed dies (hopefully not for a long time and hopefully I can find a way to revitalize it if needed) because I've never seen another one quite like it and Riker loves it. He really likes the giant round pillow border. 110
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 18/04/2026HAHA we did this with a bed at Costco last year. It's meant for two dogs. Or one Riker. 110
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 18/04/2026This kid is high as a kite. The gabapentin and trazadone haze is real. 030
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 21/03/2026Riker has graduated from thunder jacket to medical shirt as his stupid self-inflicted shoulder/neck abrasions are almost healed. I just need something to keep his harness from rubbing what's left of the scab on his walks until his fur regrows. It's so cute 🥹 020
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 17/03/2026OMG JENGA. Thank god for insurance! We tried to insure Riker, but moving internationally meant trying to get insurance again when he was already an adult dog with established food allergies. Amazingly, insurance companies find the most creative ways to blame EVERYTHING on "food sensitivity" 110
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 17/03/2026A new Dutch Bros opened near my house, he literally got a pup cup 2 nights ago 😂 We can't go there without getting one now. He got one from there ONCE and it's now an expectation any time we walk there with him. 010
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 17/03/2026They say there's a 70% chance he could fully return to completely normal, painless function, otherwise it's a 90% chance he at least will return to normal non-vigorous-activity function, which is still definitely worth it. My poor guy limps after too much activity, or a long day on his feet :( 110
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 17/03/2026He's never needed a thunder jacket, but maybe he has some secret anxiety I don't know about and I can get a 2-for-1 out of this purchase 😂 At the very least we can use it in April. He's going for plasma-rich platelet and stem cell injections in both shoulders b/c he has superspinatus tendon dmg 110
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 17/03/2026UGH DOGS. Riker's fur is stained from when he was bleeding & I was just focused on preventing infection and healing the skin as quickly as possible lol. Currently waiting for his fur to grow back. He wears a thunder jacket when not supervised bc it's one of few things that covers those spots 😂 120
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 17/03/2026He scratched his nakie boobies when we weren't around and ended up breaking the skin and having bleeding boobies :( It's been almost 2 weeks of nursing to help the skin recover and cover it up so he cant scratch more. It's in the ONE SPOT that can't be helped by an e-collar and most onesies. 121
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 02/03/2026Somebody had an ultrasound this morning and now his tiddies are naked. (he may have bicipital tendinitis) 220
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 28/02/2026I don't really post on the internet anymore for fairly obvious reasons, and I never expected that not having an endless void to scream into would be so hard. Screaming privately at my close friends doesn't quite have the same cathartic effect. 010
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 02/02/2026I couldn't help myself. If he's gonna get a job, he's gotta dress appropriately. 030
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 30/01/2026My lazy bum of a freeloading dog finally went out and got a job today. *Kyle is a lab manager and he brings Riker to work sometimes and his staff really wanted him to have an ID badge (and so did we). Anyway, it's perfect. 031
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 20/01/2026I finally finished it. 423 triangles and like 200 hours/1.5yrs of picking away at it, and it's finally done. No more triangles. 🔺 040
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 09/01/2026After 425 triangles, I have to sew them all together at the dining table, and that is decidedly much less comfortable than making 425 triangles on the couch. My old crone back is hating this. 130
Bearoness @khaelyn.bsky.social · 09/01/2026I live in a miserable limbo where I don't want to read the news anymore, but I have to because it can directly impact me, and I need to know how much I should worry that day.media.tenor.coma group of cartoon characters with the words should i start to worryALT: a group of cartoon characters with the words should i start to worry 120
