Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 09/06/2025I know this may not be a popular opinion, but I’m sticking with Mikal. His first season with the Knicks isn’t going to define his career. What he did during the Celtics series, for me, he deserves another season before we start coming out with the pitchforks. 3141
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 09/06/2025There’s a Shaun Livingston-esque hesitation to SGA’s mid-range jumper. Still butter tho. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 09/06/2025Pacers are incredibly good at swiping at the ball, in tight spaces, without fouling. Both teams doing a good job at limiting each other’s best player. 020
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 02/06/2025One other reason I would somewhat guard against just running it back is Jayson Tatum’s injury. You need to diagnose whatever our problem is and fix it, b/c after next season the road to the ECF/Finals becomes much more difficult. 120
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025Just listening to that titanic song with the violin at the end all day. Just that type of mood 😔 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025Dennis Schröder should get strong consideration from the Knicks FO this offseason. 350
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025Imo we have better top-end talent, but the Pacers are a deeper team and one that executes the game plan at a higher and more consistent level. Part of that is chemistry (that Indy developed from last year), part of it coaching. 010
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025The Knicks have heart and they fight. That’s rarely been an issue for this team. But they needed something different to beat the Pacers - strategy and/or tactical savvy that has not been on display consistently enough for this team to take the next step. Still proud of this team. 0122
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025The reasons we lost in no particular order: KAT’s lack of offense Turnovers Josh Hart doing absolutely nothing Thibs 031
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025Outside of the turnovers there’s some pretty good basketball being played on both sides. Means that any little mistake has the potential to be deadly from here on out. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025Knicks need to get KAT the ball at the top of the key. Pacers won’t double him there. He can drive, shoot, or pass much easier. 030
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025Gotta figure out a way to get KAT going here. His shooting could really give us a lead. 010
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 01/06/2025Gonna have to hit some threes and cut down the turnovers, but you like what you see so far. 110
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 31/05/2025For me, the biggest key to victory is the initial defense that both, Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby will play on Haliburton, and subsequently the defense that KAT and Jalen will play on him when they switch. As long as we keep him from showing out, I like our chances. 151
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 30/05/2025One of the things I think the Knicks can carry into game 6 is their aggressiveness on the offensive side of the ball. Jalen and KAT drove the ball relentlessly. You may not get the same calls in Indiana, but good things will happen off those drives. 081
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 30/05/2025Great win! I still think there are too many possessions where the Knicks commit 1 and a half to 2 to the ball which creates unnecessary rotations. You’re asking players to close out extremely well or the Pacers to miss open shots. They’re one of the best passing teams in the NBA 120
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 30/05/2025Whatever happens in this game…the Precious Achiuwa minutes were huge in the third. Pacers could’ve really cut the lead with KAT and Mitch out. Didn’t happen. 4313
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 30/05/2025Believe it or not, one of the keys to that half was KAT’s defense. Had one dumb foul, but played straight up, and didn’t lunge before the player he was guarding was in his shooting motion. That’s all we need from him. 010
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 30/05/2025For me, I’d rather have Hali score two points off a drive on Jalen than try to execute some form of hedge/recover where we rotate our defense and they get an open three. At least in one scenario we’re disrupting the flow of what they like to do. 010
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 29/05/2025Tonight I wanna see: - OG start on Hali - Jalen stop hedge & recover - No dumb fouls from KAT - better communication on screens and switches - keep playing wright/Shamet, but pivot if they don’t have it - Play Deuce more unless he gets into fouls trouble or cant shoot. 230
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I’m not gonna pile on Josh, cause he’s been the author of some of my favorite Knicks moments from the past couple of seasons, but sometimes he just audibles defensively and expects everyone else to react. It’s possible that’s worked for him, but last night, it really didn’t. 140
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 28/05/2025The Pacers ran (to me) a simple staggered screen at the top of the key, and the Knicks looked like they had no idea how to defend it. Haliburton had clear driving lanes to the rim for what felt like at least 5-6 possessions. A big part of why we couldn’t complete the comeback. 030
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 28/05/2025You never want to overreact to one series, but more and more it feels like we’re stuck b/w two identities. If KAT is going to be here, it feels like we need to shift to a team that hangs its hat on outscoring the opponent and plays situational good defense instead of vice versa. 120
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 28/05/2025TJ McConnell said something the other night that stuck with me. Said the Pacers matchup hunted too much and it interrupted the flow of the offense. Definitely feel like the Knicks do that to a degree as well. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 28/05/2025The Josh Hart minutes tonight are a big reason why it’s hard to defend Thibs at times. Of course after his game 3 heroics, you think he’s just a play away from altering the game. But when it’s not there, you have to pivot. Thibs didn’t. 171
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 27/05/2025Couple of things that happened last game that I don’t think will continue in game 4. The Pacers won’t shoot 20% from three, but Jalen will also be more impactful for game 4. He had 23 but didn’t get others involved and struggled with finding his shot. 010
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 26/05/2025If KAT can take some night classes at the Mitchell Robinson school of not fouling and jumping straight up to contest, we would be a juggernaut. 4222
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 26/05/2025The Knicks have now overcome 3 twenty-point leads this postseason. 191
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 26/05/2025We literally played 5 against 8. Some of the most uneven officiating I’ve seen and we still prevailed. 120
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 25/05/2025Did the lawn, cleaned the downstairs of the house, went to church, pretty much anything to distract me from tonight’s events. But efff it I’m locked in…no time for that wussy ish. Bought to grab some IPA’s, cook some red meat and get ready to yell at my TV for three hours. 020
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 23/05/2025This teams thrives off the hate, people doubting them, or underestimating them. If that’s been your MO or what you’ve been doing, keep doing it, stay on that side. 8pm it’s time for battle. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 23/05/2025Tonight my main concern is stopping the run. How do we react to stopping a lead from extending or a comeback - does Thibs call a timeout, switch up coverages? Do players find the hot hand, run a play that worked previously? This will determine whether we even up the series. 020
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 23/05/2025Blarney’s/Diamantes tomorrow night for the game. Decided I can’t sit in my house for this one. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 22/05/2025I wanted to Bob Knight a chair through the TV last night. But it’s time to turn the page. Still have faith in the Knicks who have responded to adversity all season. 240
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 22/05/2025Last thing I’ll say cause I’m sick to my stomach. The Pacers played like they had been there before, even when they are down. Of course it’s an emotional game but there sometimes I thought were a little high on the moment. 110
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 22/05/2025We were up 2-0 against the Pacers last season, things can change on a dime. The bigger issue is that there’s this growing mental edge the Pacers have over teams in tight games. We have to figure out how to shift that. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 22/05/2025This is what a heavyweight boxing match should look like. 030
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 22/05/2025Mikal Bridges has been a man on a mission on both sides of the court. 040
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 22/05/2025Get your nitroglycerin pills ready lol. What a quarter. 011
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 22/05/2025Looks like the Knicks are switching pnr’s but playing drop when Turner sets the screen. Pacers cant keep shooting like this but you don’t love the space they’re getting with some of these open shots. 041
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 21/05/2025My latest for @KnicksFanTv First line of the newsletter I have to credit @_the6thman that line was inspired by Twitter convo we had. Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 17/05/2025I spent a lot of my youth on real gm message boards and far too much of my adult life on twitter. I regret none of it. Knicks always, now, and forever. 291
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Yea sex is cool and all, but have you ever just slid calmly into your bed, pulled the covers over yourself, and smiled before closing your eyes….knowing that the Knicks are going to the Eastern Conference Finals. 0161
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 16/05/2025If you’re fortunate enough to be at the garden tonight, BE LOUD. Don’t bring any of that nervous “I’m not sure how they’re gonna do” energy. It transfers to the players. Create an atmosphere that is gonna lift them to be the best versions of themselves. 120
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 16/05/2025You either do or you do not. There is no try. The motto for tonight’s game. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 15/05/2025Following up the season’s best performance with the worst is unfortunately somewhat on brand for this team. I wasn’t certain we’d win tonight, but this was rough. Logging off Twitter for a bit lol. 000
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 15/05/2025Celtics are going with some double big lineups in Tatum’s absence. Mitch being able to rebound and stay on the court by hitting his FT’s is gonna have a huge impact on this game. 052
Geoff Campbell @kftvgeoff.bsky.social · 13/05/2025Chances are, if you’re a Knick, and you do something good on the court, KAT will say “shout out to (insert player name here)” in the postgame lol. 060
