Made my first visit to Piccadilly Bookshop in the Avonhead Mall - discovered they’re running an October promotion where they’re offering 25% off non-fiction books. Not a bad deal and they have a good selection there. Not much else of mention left in that mall […] [Original post on mastodon.nz]

Love the covers on this series from the mid-60s. The X-20 Dyna-Soar was a real project for thr USAF to deveop its own military mini-shuttle in the Kennedy era. It was cancelled long before ever flying…or was it?

The cover of a 1960s era paperback book, the title being “Mike Mars Flies The Dyna-Soar” (in dramatic bold yellow). The illustration shows two space-suited astronauts spacewalking between a Gemini style capsule and an X-20 Dyna-Soar craft with its hatch open.
