Also, those kids age! What's the point of targeting new fans among the 5 year olds if there isn't more for them when they turn 6 or 8 or 11? You know what will be there for them while Sega keeps targeting little kids only? The all-ages targeted Mario. And Spider-Man. And everything except Sonic!

Some of the greatest shows of the recent decade both take themselves seriously and is still fun and for all ages. Disney, the face of brand security, made and released such shows! Gravity Falls, Amphibia, The Owl House, even Phineas and Ferb to some extent.

Sonic Boom was hilarious, too, but they had to make them "alternate universe" versions because these are not the same characters. I just don't believe that it's impossible to make a show that is as mature and takes itself seriously while also being a fun time.

I'd like to point out that, in contrast to its customary behavior, Square Enix has not released a press release for any yesterday's *various* #KingdomHearts announcements. I think the last time it did that, it waited until after *all* the announcements at E3 2018.

In a perfect world, there wouldn't have been a drought because Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link would have been the one holding us over until the #KingdomHeartsIV hype cycle that is now starting to pick up. But, c'est la vie.
