This Nobel Prize reminded me of Thalidomide, which has a mirror version of itself. One version is an effective anti-nausea drug. The other can cause severe birth defects. Back in the 60s/70s, this wasn't understood, and making just the "good" version wasn't possible.

AI needs regulation, & the humans involved must personally hold risk & be held accountable where things go wrong. With a hammer, I can crush a skull or build a house. By splitting the atom, we can destroy civilizations or produce clean energy. AI is on par with the bomb, & genie is out of the bottle
