So my agent submitted my debut novel to 9 editors. 7 made requests to read it. 2 are out of office. I guess that means I’m on submission? This is my first rodeo. Feeling a little guilty I skipped the agent query process and assuming the next phase won’t go as easily.

I finished my novel in March and for 9 months did revisions. I don’t think it’s perfect but I think it’s good. I took a shot and queried one agent five days ago. Yesterday they asked for a full manuscript. This is how the universe fucks with me.

#Writing my reverse outline today. It’s where I write out an outline to the first draft of my manuscript to get a Bird’s Eye view of what could be lifted out without getting lost in the weeds on the page. I’m also able to see where things like conflict can be improved based on my description of them
