When we bought the tank, there was a rebate ($500 I think) and the water heater was like $850 and I installed it myself so it was an easy decision. And, the oil tank was about to go out of date so that would have been a few thousand dollars to replace.

Removed the oil furnace two years ago and put in an energy efficient electric water tank. So much better.

I have a question for the ladies. When I am out driving on a country road and there are people walking, I always slow down and move over to make sure I can't hit them. My better half says this tends to concern women as they are wary when a car slows down coming towards them.
