SwiftUI supports several scene types on macOS, and they each serve a different role, from managing multiple windows to adding menu bar functionality. I have a post that covers them all, and I often find myself referring back to it for a quick reference: nilcoalescing.com/blog/ScenesT... #macOSDev

Just setting up my RevenueCat account 😁
The screenshot of the RevenueCat dashboard displays 0 for all numbers except the customer’s, which shows 2 (but it’s all me).

Tree-sitter and Shiki via JSC, find the difference…

Experiment with @antfu.me’s Shiki in JSC. Since Apple disabled Wasm in JSC, we need to change the Shiki highlighter engine to experimental JS RegExp, but a few languages are not fully supported. However, this is really good. 🔥

When dealing with Text and List elements, I always prefer to leave SwiftUI and opt for AppKit/UIKit. I find it to be more straightforward and gives more control.

When working with Swift packages, I often create a playground project and then add the package to it. This way, I can debug the package directly from the playground project. This is because we can't open the package project while it's used in an opened project in Xcode.

This is what I really wanted: Tree-sitter!!! Even though it’s hard enough to get up and running C code in Swift, it’s worth it.

I’m currently working on a syntax parser (for fun) that can handle both streaming and batching. It’s parsing 2,480,000 lines of source code in 150s (still a bit slow, I want it in 100s). However, I’ve learned a ton, especially about the low-level stuff of Swift. 😂
