another person shared their Gogomi map with me this morning. they're drawing a tree with their walks in Burnaby lol. canopy up top, trunk all the way down Willingdon to Metrotown. must've been a fun walk!

i'll only be convinced of personal agents if they 1. are local-first 2. have customisable avatars 3. can fight other people's agents in a real-time grid-based deck-builder

a friend's building the android version of gogomi and the walk traces were way off. turns out google removed a kalman filter from their fused loc provider, not sure they gave a heads-up issuetracker.google.com/issues/45368...

Another! Back injury survivor says Gogomi is exactly what they needed to get back out there!
"I just wanted to say thanks again for this app. I have a back injury and it's hard sometimes get out and get moving. This app motivates me and it’s fun. I’ve used it two times and I can’t wait until tomorrow to use it again."

awww!
i might be a month late but i love the WHA post

beautiful moral about not getting in your own way, trusting that you'll have your own unique twist on anything you do and you don't have to go out of your way to be unique

i definitely fall into that trap, im still chronically contrarian and anti- mainstream

From Mt Wakakusa summit. Nara in the distance view from up top. You can see Tōdai-ji’s massive roof belowstone marker at the burial mound summitsika deer and me resting in grass

after a 6-month hiatus (winter sabbatical), I'm back at it with Gogomi. pushed an update last night to testflight. are we...so back?
Kevin.... This is the best improvement! I love it!
Thank you so much! And Thanks for creating the app in the first place -
I'm such a big fan of your work.
Looking at my map, those divided road red blocks look like they have disappeared which is soooooo great! Nice work and thanks for being receptive to my feedback! I'II send through other examples of problem areas if I find them.
It's so much clearer to read now! I love your Burnaby map... so many hills out there!!! I'll take that on once I finish Vancouver, haha!

Finished this post at the JJ Bean on Hastings near a notoriously stubborn back door. Been amusing watching what people use…shoulders, backsides, legs, one guy with full hands used his knee! Helped an elderly person who couldn't budge it. So many personalities, just as many ways to open a door.

😂 didn't realise my reputation on ig is the guy walking all of burnaby. the sauntervan plot twist is that I've walked more of burnaby (~23%) than vancouver (~13%)
Lol I saw the dragon pagoda posted on reddit and had a feeling it was you! Haha I was like, is there another person in burnaby trying to walk all of the streets?! Haha

Hi Kevin!

I hope you're doing well. I'm so close to 50% of Vancouver streets now. Lots of running! I still love love love the app!
