I'm really enjoying listening to The Odyssey audiobook narrated by Claire Danes. Thank you for the wonderful introduction to the book! I've listened to it twice and now that I got a physical copy of the b ook, I'm reading it again.

Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

"three types of writing: academic, corporate, and internet", so true. Do you know any good resources for learning how to write for the internet? I know good examples when I see them, but I wish I had a learning resource for doing it myself.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default. Here's how to turn it off. First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

Only major flaw so far is Proton doesn't seem to support the Apple iOS Mail app because of lack of encryption/decryption. I'd prefer not to use any other e-mail client. Would have been nice to know up front.

Migrated my personal email from Google Workspace to @proton.me. I don't want to pay more money for useless Google AI products that I have no interest in using, especially without being asked. Migration took ~30min of work, and a few hours spent waiting for DNS updates.

Maybe there could even be an onboarding flow or config per feed, like, what kind of content is this (eg images, longform writing, etc) and how would I like it served.

Curious how it would feel to have an LLM prioritize content across my feeds and then do a layout and render it each day. As a user I could vote a certain layout or feed up/down which would get stored in a database and be included in the layout prompt.

Thinking about the resurgence of RSS feeds and how to improve the reader experience. I love the content I subscribe to, but I'm missing an editorial aspect and layout.

How did you learn this? I often find myself struggling to take a given model and make it work in different contexts. It sometimes feels like there's a fundamental interface between high-level programming languages and models that I'm missing.

If I can’t tell the American tourists by their accent, it’s the absurdly specific coffee orders. Why go to one of the best coffee roasters on the planet and tell them how to make your coffee?

A surprising life hack on linkedin is having my middle name in my profile. I get a lot of DMs opening with "Hi Kevin Nørby", which is a great indicator that it's a mass DM masked as a personal one.

Much of the current discourse frames GAI either as an esoteric, almost divine technology or simply as "just ChatGPT." However, I believe it’s far more compelling to think of it as a material — one we can use creatively to build entirely new types of products, tools, and services.
