Some people seriously need to take more pride in their work. Ordered lunch from @swisschalet.bsky.social. Since they didn't put the soup lids on properly, they leaked all over the bag. Called the store to complain and got a credit "refund" for the soup from DoorDash, which I ordered again.

Remembering my cat Nala tonight. She was 10 1/2 and passed from illness. Met her when she was one year old, having no idea she would be “mine” by 4 1/2. She had a tough life before me. Grateful she was part of my life.

Nala was a quiet and constant presence through some of the hardest years of my life. She brought comfort during periods of grief, stress, and exhaustion. Putting her to sleep today came from love, ending her suffering, and wanting her to leave this world peacefully and with dignity. She was 10 1/2.

It turns out that my good friend in Edmonton and his family can take Nala after all. I appreciate that it wasn't a simple decision for them and that they are taking it seriously. Glad they are willing to cover the vet bill, and that I won't need to put her down.

Just had a very special moment sitting on the front porch as a family of 5 neighborhood rabbits ran across the lawn and down the block. 3 children rabbits, and two adults, presumably Mom and Dad. First time I've seen the whole family. The adults often come into our backyard and rest.
A brown rabbit rests in a shallow hollow in the snow beneath a raised wooden garden bed. Patches of melting snow and dry grass surround the rabbit as it sits quietly in the shade.

I’m a beta tester. Gander Social is coming along nicely. Check out the “Vision” page on their site for the road map. gandersocial.ca#features

I tried Eh Social, but it I didn’t like it at the time. I’m a beta tester for @gandersocial.bsky.social. It’s in Early Access. Not in the App Store yet. It’s coming along nicely.

I am a 17-year-old high school student living at home with my family. I work two part-time jobs—babysitting and cleaning—and volunteer weekly at a daycare in my community.

I was deeply saddened to hear that student bus passes may be removed. It often feels like once we enter high school, supports disappear. We don’t receive free lunches, and cafeteria prices continue to rise. For many of us, bus passes are one of the few meaningful supports we have.

Bus passes are about more than getting to school. They give students independence and allow us to get to work, volunteer commitments, extracurricular activities, and home safely. They also reduce pressure on parents who cannot always drive us. Reliable transportation gives both students and families peace of mind.

I am not an honour student, but I work hard every day. I live with ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety. Despite documented challenges, the support I need has not always been available. My family has spent thousands on assessments and resources, yet gaps remain. Even so, I continue to show up and do my best.

Teenagers today face significant mental, emotional, and social pressure. When something as simple as a bus pass helps build confidence, independence, and opportunity, it should not be taken away. Removing it sends the message that student needs and growth are not a priority.

We are young people trying to build our futures with the tools available to us. I respectfully ask that you reconsider the decision to remove bus passes for high school students. For many of us, they are not a luxury—they are essential to our independence, safety, and personal development.

Thank you for your time,
(Grade 11 Halifax area student)

Setup an account on @gandersocial.bsky.social, but not active there. I love their “on Gander” feed. Could @eurosky.social do something like that?

As more sign up for EuroSky via invite, more accounts like this are showing up. Not a good sign. I have covered the usernames. IMHO a profile photo and bio should be required for all accounts. @eurosky.social
