Genuine question, why do so many babies look like Winston Churchill? All this guy needs is a cigar and a homburg hat, LOL.

LOL, USA is the only country I know of that has the gall to charge for "skin to skin" contact. That only happens in the one country that prioritises profits over medical care.

$29 million, damn. Why not just issue each ship with a $500 sextant, a chronometer clock and a decent calculator/ computer? If you want EMP protection how about a set of math books? This worked fine for 100s of years.

If you go to a private hospital in UK to avoid waiting lists that would be about $3k to $4.5k for the cheapest type. The most costly hernia op is maybe $7.5k, presumably not a 30 minute outpatient op. That's with zero insurance as a cash buyer. I don't know the cost with private insurance.

My supermarket in UK pre-bags a food bank donation for a few pounds. Pick them up at the entrance, pay at the checkout and drop them off near the exit on the way out. We do it every shop.

Charging at home is essential, my 1,000 miles/month costs me £5/month (8p/kwh) on a low rate overnight tariff. Comparing the costs of a fully paid off car with a new any type of car is just wrong though.

In UK, with higher fuel prices, my "fuel" cost is about 10% of the cost of gas/petrol. Probably even less recently, especially if I had a diesel.

If you can afford a used car you can probably afford a used EV. The depreciation on them is savage although that might be slowing down soon. I do 1,000 miles month (UK) and on a low rate overnight tariff it costs me £20/month ($24) to "fill" up. Not recommended if you can't charge at home though.

Most people's attention span on youtube is about 5 -10 minutes, if lucky. 20 minutes is about max. There are very few topics or people I watch for 30 minutes and only about 1 person I watch (without skipping) who does 1 hour videos. I watch a lot of news/current affairs/ political content.

In the 'richest' country in the world USA has effectively been paying 3rd World prices for fuel for decades. Most countries tax fuel a LOT higher than the US.

I learned in a non-syncromesh gearbox landrover in the 80s. That wasn't fun. Every time you you want to change gear, clutch in, move gear to neutral, clutch out then clutch in, put it in gear you want, clutch out - repeat every time you want to change gear.

The cognitive dissonance is stunning. Trying to blame Biden/Hillary for a war started when Bush was president and republicans controlled Congress. The US massacred 170 Iranian schoolgirls on Day 1 of this war and started a global recession. Most US allies now detest trump and by extension, USA.

Put another way, just assuming midterms and presidential elections, that's 28.8 potential (not proven) incidences of voter fraud each election. That's not enough to affect a school board normally even if all in the same county........

The CEO, CFO, CIO and the entire board should be in jail. Length of the jail sentence to be pro-rata'd by how much the company has been fined. Jail time for these is the only way to curb this sort of crime.

You're getting ripped off in USA. In UK they've only just brought in a road tax (registration) for EVs and they're still much cheaper than a gas car annual road tax. Insurance is maybe slightly higher for an EV (10%?).
