I mean, if you want to see the Bayeux Tapestry online you can see much better pics of it than I will take. So I'll just post this pic I took as proof I saw it. Btw, the tapestry is a thing to see. Absolutely astonishing.

It's a nearly thousand year old embroidery of a man squatting with an enormous meat and two veg on very prominent display.

Went to Joddrell Bank today. That Lovell Telescope is one extremely large piece of kit!

I just wanted to say how much I love taskwarrior, the incredibly clever commandline TODO list software - although that descriptions really undersells it. I've been using it about a month now. Look at my daily burndown graph! I've actually been doing stuff!

It's a burndown graph showing my tasks for the last month built in text in a ghostty terminal. It's a stacked graph showing open and closed tasks. Unbelievably, it shows a relatively stable number of open tasks and a steadily growing number of closed tasks!

I guess the Ashton Canal being really low is great for some!

It's a heron, stood in the dwindling waters of a canal. You can see blocks of flats reflected in the shallow water and a lot of mud around.

Torquay from our hotel window. Was hoping to see the Hanging Gardens of Babylon or herds of wildebeest sweeping dramatically across the plains.

View of Torquay Harbour on a bright day, with a marina full of boats in the foreground and a clock tower rising above the scene. Beyond the harbour, the calm blue sea stretches toward the opposite coastline, where rows of houses dot the hills. The sky is mostly blue with large, fluffy white clouds.

It's cropped weirdly so you can't see the roof in front of us covered in shit.
