Government officials calling us tra*nies, repeatedly, without consequence or shame, is genuinely wearing me down. Being emboldened to use language like that is terrifying. "The cruelty is the point" yeah fucking obviously. It hurts. I'm exhausted and scared.

It's hard to not feel shame, because people are so quick to jump on the idea of detransitioners... I'm not detransitioning, and I'm definitely not a woman. But I feel like I over corrected, and asserted myself as a man, to distance myself from being seen as a woman.

I identified as a nonbinary butch lesbian for 7 years. I came out as trans and have been living as a guy for 8... But I don't think that fully encapsulates who I am. This journey has been a complicated one.
