If you need to clarify that shipped is actually operated for the post to make sense, then the two « alternatives » are poorly chosen… It’s a matter of automation and feasibility of automation, not a matter of operation.

Shipped doesn’t/shouldn’t exist in prod. That’s just « fire and forget » which is highly dangerous. Even the tiniest simplest thing should be operated.

Ok, plot twist, c’était pas le impl Future qui capturait le lifetime de self, c’était le impl Bar de Future::Output. En lui rajoutant un +’static pour virer le default binding ca passe, et c’est tout de suite plus compréhensible !

Ce qui m’embête le plus en l’occurrence, c’est que cette erreur de lifetime là, je ne la comprends pas, et je ne comprends pas pourquoi le &Bar la corrige non plus (même si je comprends un peu plus ça que l’erreur en elle même)

Ouais c’est à ça que je suis arrivé aussi, ça marche sur le playground et sur un des 2 cas où j’avais le pb, mais pas sur le dernier… quand j’essaye de Box::pin ce que ça me retourne dans l’équivalent de get_stuff

C’est full stateless et ton app peut être redémarée à tout moment par contre, donc faut que ton app soit pas conçue a l’ancienne en mode utilisation du disque etc, sauf pour du transient

Tout dépend de ce que tu cherches a faire. Si tu fais du standard qui suit les stacks de packaging/deploy classiques des différentes techno, un git push et c’est deployé (modulo conf minimale initiale)

I think the main differentiator now between my level in golang and in rust is that after ~3 years of golang, I still now a lot about rust ecosystem and nothing about golang one. Also, in rust I know exactly when I copy or move and I haven’t the slightest idea in golang.
