Summary:

"Yerim is not in here. There's nothing or no one in the bathroom."

"What? Where is she, then? Did she even come back?" Chaeryeong asks, but Chan soothes her and tells her not to panic. Chaeryeong takes a deep breath. "Sorry. I just—She was drunk, and all, and no one has seen her since she left to take a walk, right?"

It's silent as everyone shares a look with one another. Jisung and Minho did go outside, but they didn't see her around. Jisung never even thought of keeping an eye out for her, as he was too occupied with Minho and his own thoughts.

OR: What was supposed to be a fun reunion in their now-abandoned hometown, quickly turns into something darker when Jeongin's new girlfriend, Yerim, disappears. To make things worse, a sandstorm traps Jisung and his friends in town with no way to get help while finding out what happened to Yerim.
On top of that, Han Jisung has to deal with questioning his sexuality and newfound feelings for Lee Minho.

The voice sings softly, and for a moment Hyunjin is convinced that he has died and he's hearing an angel singing for him in these bright white hallways. Hyunjin follows the sound and rounds the corner to find the source of the voice: A boy around his age with a cute puppy like face, glasses, and earphones in. The boy startles and immediately stops singing and removes his earphones when he spots Hyunjin. They both look at each other with wide eyes, as if they just spotted a dangerous wild animal, and Hyunjin feels like he caught this guy at a moment where he wanted to be alone. Nevertheless, Hyunjin is intrigued. He wants to get to know him, know why he was singing in the hallways all alone with such a beautiful voice.

"Hey," Hyunjin greets him, but the guy keeps looking at him with wide, almost afraid eyes. "Uhm, sorry for startling you. Your singing is really pretty!"

OR: Hyunjin meets Seungmin at university, and Hyunjin is infatuated from the first moment, but Seungmin doesn't talk much because he has a stutter. Hyunjin is determined to become close to him, falling more and more as he does.

"So, what are we going to do once we find Yerim? Should we see if we can find the old skating rink? Or maybe we should see if we can raid any shops," Ryujin says, chuckling as she puts her hair up into a pony tail. Jisung stays silent. He'll just follow what the rest are doing, and perhaps he'll try to talk to Minho some more, but to do that, he'll have to try to get him alone.

Jisung glances at Minho again, and meets the man's eyes. Minho stares, making it difficult for Jisung to keep his gaze steady. He fidgets with the edge of his shorts. The rest are talking amongst one another, making plans for what to do this week, but Jisung doesn't register most of their words.

Maybe he should use everyone being distracted as an excuse to pull Minho apart and talk to him about their kiss. But what would he even say? Hey Minho hyung, please kiss me again so I can decide if I'm gay or not. No, that would be ridiculous, but admitting that he's very torn and confused about his feelings is embarrassing, too.

Maybe he could just—"Hey! Jisu! Yongbok! Jeongin!" Changbin's loud voice exclaims. Jisung flinches and moves his head towards the sound of hurried footsteps. The three of them are running. In this weather?

And there's no Yerim in sight.

"How are we going to do this?" Hyunjin is holding the duvet cover while Seungmin is holding the duvet.
"Just t—turn it inside out and then p—put it over the duvet," Seungmin says, and Hyunjin nods.
"Turn it inside out. Got it." Hyunjin puts the cover over himself so he can turn it inside out, but he gets lost in the fabric and can't find his way out. "Uh oh, Seungmin. Help."
Seungmin laughs and pats his hands through the cover. "Grab over here."
"Where? What do I do then?" Hyunjin plays up his panic for drama and to make Seungmin laugh, which he does successfully, but he doesn't successfully find his way out of the duvet cover.
"Hold on, l—let me help," Seungmin tells him. Hyunjin waits as Seungmin climbs into the cover as well and Hyunjin blushes at their proximity, and it somehow feels intimate to stand inside a duvet cover together, and Hyunjin can't help but chuckle shyly.
Seungmin’s cheeks are rosy as well, but he quickly looks away and he stretches his arm, feeling along the cover until he grabs a handful of it. "I've got one of the c—corners, can you g—grab the other?"
Hyunjin nods, his throat feeling too dry to answer, and he waves his hand around to try to find the corner of cover. When he finds it, he grabs it like Seungmin did and meets Seungmin’s eyes, silently asking for the next step.
"We just p—pull it inside out," Seungmin tells him, and Hyunjin belatedly nods, trying to follow Seungmin’s movements, but he's a little distracted by Seungmin’s arm brushing against his as he tries to lift the cover to get them out. "You're s—standing on it."

"Ah! Sorry—" Hyunjin squeaks and yelps when he pulls on the cover and stumbles over his feet clumsily. He bumps against something and falls backwards onto Jisung's bed, taking Seungmin with him.
They both grunt as Seungmin falls on top of him and Hyunjin freezes when he opens his eyes. Seungmin’s scrunched up face is mere centimeters away, and Hyunjin just wants to kiss his pouty lips, or at least his red cheeks.
"S—Sorry," Hyunjin stutters as Seungmin pushes himself off Hyunjin quickly. For a moment, Hyunjin is afraid that he messed up, but then Seungmin sticks out a hand to help him up. Hyunjin accepts the help, but they again stumble because Seungmin pulls too hard and Hyunjin already stands up too.
Their chests collide and they both swing their arms around the other for stability, trying to find stable footing on the cover. They meet eyes and both burst into a fit of giggles, still holding onto each other, with the cover resting on their heads. It feels like they're literally and figuratively wrapped in their own world like this, neither of them letting go and just admiring the other's smile. Hyunjin's heart is fluttering like crazy, but somehow he feels like Seungmin's heart is beating in sync with his, and his eyes glimmer in the same emotion as Hyunjin's.
Hyunjin wouldn't mind staying like this for a while, but instead of staying still, without meaning to, he slowly hovers closer, and Seungmin stays as he is, letting Hyunjin in. Seungmin’s breath hits his skin as Hyunjin’s eyes trail down to Seungmin’s lips. The moment feels just like the ones he has imagined many times, and he wonders if Seungmin feels it too. The tension, the desire—
"Hyunjin are you in here— Woah! What is going on here?!"

Hyunjin can see that Seungmin read his message, but he doesn't reply. Hyunjin figures that he's paying attention to class and he might wish Hyunjin to get better later. Hyunjin puts his phone away and closes his eyes again, but his nose is clogged lying down like this so it's hard to fall asleep.
He briefly gets up to drag himself to the bathroom to pee and to blow his nose. It relieves a bit of the stuffiness in his head but it doesn't help his fatigue, so instead of getting some food for himself, he climbs back into bed. Maybe he should have asked Jisung to put something to eat next to his bed as well, but it's too late for that now. Hopefully after a bit he will feel well enough to get food.
Knock knock.
Huh? Did Hyunjin hear that right? Who could that be? Did Jisung forget something? They rarely lock their door when one of them is inside, but Jisung could just be knocking to be polite. He hears the door click, signaling that the person is coming inside.
"Jisung? Do you need anything?" Hyunjin calls weakly, before a head peeks around the corner of Hyunjin's bedroom. Hyunjin shoots up. "Seungmin?! What are you doing here?"
"You're s—sick," Seungmin states the obvious.
"Yeah, but—" Hyunjin cuts himself of with a sneeze into his elbow. "But you have class and I could make you sick."

"I w—wash my hands a l—lot and you kn—know I study ahead," Seungmin retorts.
"I know, but still…" Hyunjin doesn't have the energy to interrogate Seungmin, and he doesn't actually want Seungmin to leave, but he just didn't expect Seungmin to stop by because he's sick.
Seungmin grabs the empty glass of water and returns it full before crouching in front of the bed and putting a hand on Hyunjin's forehead. "You're b—burning."
Hyunjin opens his mouth to reply but Seungmin already stands up and leaves the room. A few moments later, he returns with a wet washcloth to put on Hyunjin's forehead. Hyunjin sighs in relief and Seungmin shows a small smile.
"Have you e-eaten?" Seungmin then asks, and Hyunjin feels like he's stuttering less than normally, but maybe it's just because he's speaking in short sentences.
"Not yet," Hyunjin answers, and Seungmin, again, stands up and leaves. He can hear that Seungmin is looking through their kitchen. Hyunjin can't believe that he is actually making food for him right now.
A few days ago Hyunjin was wondering if Seungmin cared as much for him as he does for Seungmin, and now he stops by unprompted to take care of Hyunjin like it's nothing. Maybe he feels guilty because Hyunjin got rained on while bringing him home, but even if he did, he wouldn't have to do all this.

The night goes on and Jisung dances with almost everyone for a couple of seconds. Still, Minho never leaves his side and Jisung seems to be pulled back into his orbit before he knows it. Minho comes closer and dances with him.

Although Minho never actually touches him, Jisung feels like it's intimate. Perhaps it's the way Minho looks at him. His eyes are intense, sucking Jisung in, and making him feel hot.

He buttons open two of his shirt buttons and wipes away his sweaty bangs, but it doesn't help the stuffy feeling. Minho is beautiful, but Jisung feels weird. Minho is a man. Dancing with him should not feel this intimate.

"Hey. Hey, Jisung-ah. Are you all right?" Minho asks him, leaning closer so that he doesn't have to yell to be heard above the music and chatter. Jisung tenses a little, and he only realizes then that he has stopped dancing.

He swallows, relaxes—tells himself that he's being ridiculous. "Oh. Yeah, I'm just… It's quite hot in here," he admits with a chuckle. Minho nods, wiping his bangs away as well. A drop of sweat rolls down his cheek, to his chin, down to his collarbone right at the collar of his tank top.

"You're right. Sweaty dancing people and alcohol do that to you," Minho says, slowing down as Jisung snaps his gaze back up to Minho's eyes. The man nods his head towards the exit of the hall. "Let's get some air, all right? You look a bit pale."

"So… why don't you talk?" Hyunjin asks, before realizing it might sound rude. "I mean— You don't have to talk, but you could sing, so I just wonder…"
Seungmin looks at him as if he's assessing Hyunjin and his motives, so Hyunjin waits patiently, but Seungmin doesn't answer. Hyunjin doesn't know what to think. Maybe he doesn't want to be friends after all, but why would he agree to having lunch, then? There are so many questions.
"Is it me? Am I being weird? Pushy?" Hyunjin asks, and Seungmin shakes his head. "Oh! Maybe you can type on your phone, or send a message to me, if you want."
He grabs his phone and opens his contacts. "You can put your number in or save mine."
Seungmin just looks at him, not grabbing his phone, and Hyunjin feels awkward again. He's starting to run out of ideas—
"Wh—Why?"
At first, Hyunjin isn't sure if he heard it right, but there's no one else around who could have said anything. And Hyunjin wouldn't forget that heavenly voice, even if he has only heard it once and Seungmin just spoke very softly.
"Why what?" Hyunjin wonders, keeping his voice low as well.
Seungmin takes a moment to answer, and Hyunjin is afraid that he won't speak again, but eventually, he does. "Wh—Why do you wanna be f—friends?"

Oh. Hyunjin didn't expect that question. "Well, why not? You seem nice since you helped me find the music building."
Seungmin presses his lips together, looking hesitant. "I… I s—stutter."
"Oh— I don't mind!" Hyunjin assures. He honestly barely noticed or thought much of it. "Does that make talking harder— or, like, more tiring?"
"A little b—bit," Seungmin replies, and Hyunjin hums.
"I stumble over my words all the time too. Speaking is hard honestly, so… yeah! Just do whatever you're comfortable with," he tells Seungmin, who smiles hesitantly as he nods. "Oh and you don't stutter when singing?"
Seungmin shakes his head and keeps quiet, so Hyunjin thinks that Seungmin probably doesn't want to elaborate. He wracks his brain on what else to say. He can talk people's ears off if he wants, but he first wants to get to know someone a bit better, which is not easy if someone doesn't enjoy talking.

OR: Hyunjin tells his parents that he wants to spend the summer with his boyfriend to dodge his homophobic family on the annual family trip, not expecting them to extend the invite to him as well. The only one who can help him by pretending to be his boyfriend is his straight college roommate Kim Seungmin.

OR: Hyunjin is a 'boyfriend for hire' and Seungmin is a jilted, newly dumped ex-fiancé in need of a date to a function where ex who dumped him will also be in attendance with his new fiancé. What should have been a one time need turns into Seungmin needing to secure Hyunjin's services a few more times and eventually feelings start to happen.

Summary:

"I'm gonna be a wing man for Hyunjin," Seungmin says. Minho's phone buzzes, and he's quick to check whatever message popped up. It's probably Jisung again, judging by the extremely loud giggle that follows.

His ambitions to become the best wing man there is started at lunch, one of the first days after winter break. Hyunjin was staring at Felix across from him, who was laughing at something stupid Changbin said, squeezing his biceps and all. He was sighing, longing, as if he wished Felix would notice him. And he kept his eyes on them the entire time. This wasn't the first time this has happened. Hyunjin has been staring at Felix with something in his gaze for a while now.
Seungmin personally doesn't get why someone would not want to notice and admire Hyunjin, but he's sure that he can convince Felix of how lovely Hyunjin is. He'll be a great wing man, but he doesn't want to be too obvious about it, either. It should feel natural. "I'm going to help Hyunjin get together with Felix."

OR: 5 times Seungmin tries to get Hyunjin and Felix together, and 1 time he realizes that Hyunjin wants him instead.

Summary:

It's a day like any other when Seungmin makes a mistake. How big the mistake is, depends on your perspective, and on Seungmin's mood when you ask him about it. He doesn't make mistakes while preparing spells often, but this time, he messed up majorly. As in, big time.

It could have been the nerves, or it could have been that he misread the instructions while studying this ten years ago, but most likely, it's because he's in love with Hwang Hyunjin, his roommate and fellow wizard.

OR: Wizard Seungmin messes up a spell and now he's unable to be apart from his roommate and best friend Hyunjin more than a couple steps. It's okay, because he works together well with Hyunjin, but the problem is: Seungmin is desperately in love with him, and he can NOT have Hyunjin know about his feelings.

Summary:

Jisung wants to love someone. And he wants to be loved by someone.

It has been about a month since Minho moved to the southern palace, and yet Jisung still can't name a single time they have conversed for longer than a couple of sentences. The northern prince is cold to him, ignores him, and is distant whenever he does speak to Jisung.

Hyunjin has joked about Jisung needing to ask the royal wizard for help to get Lee Minho to open up to him, but little does he know that Jisung is actually considering something like that. He has lost all hope.

He needs help, but he can't find it within the palace.
Which is why he finds himself putting on his dirtiest cloak before sneaking through the secret garden exit he and Chan always used when they were younger and wanted to play in the forest or the town. He has been listening to townsfolk gossiping, and he knows that a lot of them go to a particular wizard for most of their problems.

Jisung knows he's being risky, but he is desperate, too. Desperate to be loved. He can't have anyone know that he is thinking of enchanting the northern prince.

"I am not doing this any longer, Prince Minho. Why am I even here, anyway?!" he complains, heart hurt by Minho's harsh tone. Minho sends him a cold look, and Jisung feels like he does not understand his hardship in the slightest. It has not even been half a day since he got cursed to look like this, got scolded by his parents, cut himself trying to shave, burned his fingers to the fire of the stove, and cut himself again.

"You are giving up already? It's just vegetables. Try again, more carefully this time," Minho orders him, not even caring to ask Jisung if he is all right. Jisung grits his teeth, sticking out his lower lip.

“How about I get some time to recover and gather myself, first?” he snaps, running low on self esteem and strength after so many setbacks today.

"Hey! What is going on here? No arguing in my kitchen," Yongbok says, coming over to the two of them. Jisung doubts that the kitchen has become his in a mere month of being here, so he has no right to make such demands. Either way, Jisung turns away from the cook. He would rather not have another set of eyes on him when he is fumbling like this.

"This is not for me. I am a prince! I do not belong in the kitchen," he grumbles, cradling his injured hand. It is not much more than a shallow cut, but Jisung has seen more than enough of his own blood today.

Minho scoffs and throws his hands up. "You spoiled brat. If you are going to behave like this, I do not want to have anything to do with you. Figure this enchantment out yourself, then," he hisses. Jisung's stomach drops, and his eyes sting at the insult.
