Two more women dead in the space of 24 hours due to male violence. A 23 year old pregnant woman murdered and the perpetrator then took their own life. The second woman was 25 years old and the man has been charged with manslaughter by the police. 44 women dead and it’s only the start of August.

I mean, if the legal system stopped suppressing the names of alleged and now even convicted rapists, based on their wealth and fame, maybe they and other men wouldn’t feel emboldened to just keep on raping women…but what would I know.

I can see what's going to happen. Invisible disabilities support will once again fall into an abyss and parents will have to manage the best they can within the limited options state governments will fund. At 35 my daughter doesn't have paid work or any relationships outside the family. Not "mild."

I've become my neighbour's nominated representaive with My Aged Care. English is not her first language and she finds navigating the bureaucracy a nightmare. Can't say I blame her. She was unaware she already had referral codes for physio & podiatry. So I've now got her on intake lists for both 🧵1
