I also get this! I hate it! But unfortunately, they were right about a couple of them. And I defended one person for YEARS. I felt like an absolute idiot by the end of it. Friendship meant way more to me than it did to them. I even met and hung out with them multiple times. I felt so used. 🥺

My sourdough is just flour and water, but yogurt and vinegar 100% works. The problem with owning a house/land is the VERY expensive costs that come with owning a house. Our AC unit went out the second year and cost us 6 grand. Next year 2 grand for a water heater, next 20 for the roof. Sucks.

It's definitely a learning process! You'll get there! Lots of good information out there. YouTube has lots of cool farming videos and you can always find people in your state with helpful tips for your climate and soil.
