Thinking about running a count on the ratio of code to code comments over time o the Gitlab project. I don’t think it’s a great insight, but possibly a directional metric.

A red-flag for C-suite leaders should be whether or not they think they need to bring celebrities and luminaries to all hands meetings. It shows that the leadership team either had nothing to say, doesn't believe in their message, or can't otherwise make productive use of that time.

One of the things I've appreciated about AI is how I can use it to translate concepts I intuitively understand into formal industry speak.. for example, architecture - I can _describe_ the flow, the separation of concerns, and the boundaries between pieces.. but I can't _draw_ that.

Just found my notes for Referee, an internal service I designed and was building at TravisCI when PE did it's thing. A lovely piece of engineering, it provided on-demand reputational scoring to sniff out cryptominers etc by answering the question “How much do we trust this User or Repository?”
