Just out of the oven and cooling! It's prettier than I expected! I'm not sure whether I'm going to dust it with powdered sugar or not. I'll try to get a nice cross-section pic after I cut a piece, though.

I haven't been to the library yet. My feet are angry. But I went to Petco and bought my cat some vegetables.

Does anyone know what they mean by US military withdrawal from the ME? Close all the bases? This seems... like a very strange thing for the US to say "Okay, maybe!" to.

The list of 10 points, published by Iranianstate media, include a number of conditions the US has rejected in the past. The plan requires:

The lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions on Iran.

Continued Iranian control over the strait of Hormuz.

US military withdrawal from the Middle East.

An end to attacks on Iran and its allies.

The release of frozen Iranian assets.

A UN security council resolution making any deal binding.

In the version released in Farsi, Iran also included the phrase "acceptance of enrichment" for its nuclear program. But for reasons that remain unclear, that phrase was missing in English versions shared by Iranian diplomats to journalists.

On behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I express gratitude and appreciation for my dear brothers HE Prime Minister of Pakistan Sharif and HE Field Marshal Munir for their tireless efforts to end the war in the region.

In response to the brotherly request of PM Sharif in his tweet, and considering the request by the U.S. for negotiations based on its 15-point proposal as well as announcement by POTUS about acceptance of the general framework of Iran's 10-point proposal as a basis for negotiations, I hereby declare on behalf of Iran's Supreme National Security Council:

If attacks against Iran are halted, our Powerful Armed Forces will cease their defensive operations.

For a period of two weeks, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible via coordination with Iran's Armed Forces and with due consideration of technical limitations.

Current Gabi status: It took her a while, but she decided it was okay to lie down on the chair next to me. 🩶 She had her head down and eyes closed until I turned to take the picture. She licked my hand for a minute when I tried to scritch her cheek. I can still hear her purring.
