I'll add as this still isn't too clear, but post have character limit. Metamodernism is about honesty and a move away from irony and detachment, without returning to the naivety of modernism. I think that's something we definitely need. A way out of this slump and lack of any visions for the future.

Metamodernism is the next logical stage in thought, taking a constructive approach as opposed to the endless deconstruction and nihilism of postmodernism, while assimilating its understanding of subjectivity and contradiction. I believe it's the next era into which humanity needs to find its way.

The world in Dawn Chorus isn't different from ours. The space where the story takes place is less given to and more constructed by the characters - it exists as a space between friends, willed into existence through goodwill. Outside world gets scary. But pockets like that exist in this world too.

It's a bit odd, as in - I truly don't remember. I've always been non-binary and there was no big moment of revelation, just finding a label to describe it. My romantic life was such a mess, at least before I got diagnosed with ADHD. I'd describe it as desperate, combustive and unfulfilled.

I try not to pull too much from other works - especially not VNs, but it's impossible not to be inspired in at least some degree in what you read. Dawn Chorus is very rooted in my own experiences, but I wouldn't call it autobiographical. It's introspection and observation in varying proportions.

Definitely. His ear for melodies and ability to weave these into his lines were incredible - I can't hope to get anywhere near his level. Another inspiration, an even greater one, is Ichiko Aoba.

Emotional is a fairly broad category; it differs whether you want to write a story that's deeply personal, tugs at heartstrings, or is a misery porn like some anime can be. I think personal is a good direction. Write about something close to your heart, and the emotions will come with that.

A combination of all of these. None of the characters are directly lifted from anyone I knew, and they come in varying degrees from observation and introspection. On that spectrum, I'd say Mikko, then Jorgen, then Lake are the most *other*, and Rune, then Devon, then Bjorn are the most *me*.

As I often write for specific scenes, these serve as my main inspiration. But I'm also strongly inspired by sound itself, and I think in textures more than melodies - once I find a texture I like, a specific timbre, chord or progression, music takes shape out of it easily.

One quality I could never stand is indifference. Not giving a fuck is good for your mental health, that's for sure. But there's a limit to that; if your world ends at your metaphorical lawn and you don't care for anyone beyond it, we likely have opposing values.

I always felt lion characters were cute! Lake was created as a sort of an experiment - I gave them a type of personality that's a near-opposite of mine, and tried to understand them while writing them. But their experiences as a non-binary person were largely, but not fully, inspired by my own.

-particularly in scenes like Rune's trip, the scene with Mikko shown from both perspectives, or the entirety of Klaus' route. I'm also so happy that I was able to put my own music in Dawn Chorus. Regarding visual novels - only small, near-liner ones. I have some ideas - The Waves is one.

Hopefully! It's certainly my ambition. I find it much easier to work with words than constructing a large, multimedia project like a visual novel - but there are certain things you can do in a VN that you can't do with text. I've really been enjoying the possibilities that VNs give-

Good question. There's so much I'd like to do: journalism, essayism, starting a band. I don't think Dawn Chorus will be my only furry project, though - I have a game I'd like to work on that I'd describe as: cosy, furry, bara, wholesome. Something safe for work, for a change.
