Pretty much. Yerba Madre, the canned stuff that's about ten percent of my blood, is as strong as an energy drink or a huge coffee. It's really good! Try it sometime.

So I literally buy yerba mate by the pallet; I have literally been to the yerba factory in Sebastopol. They aren't even open to the public but they let me in! I have walked the holy places. I am a true believer. But any caffeine will do in a pinch. OR SO I THOUGHT.

It reminded me a lot of Resident Evil, except the Thing makes more sense and is better. The monsters are so creepy and wet and it's so cool though; they basically make up the bulk of my own like, imagined style for monsters. The scene where they're throwing dynamite as they walk is wild 💀💀

Woke up on the floor, still wearing one shoe and one sock, with my head on a Snorlax stuffy. But I did put the cap on my pen. Anyhow White Monster is good but not good enough. On the plus side I had dreams about, among other things, a giant d10 that linked to other dice creating many outcomes.

Comedic farce is exactly how is describe it. A lot of people love that! But it wasn't a great story or anything. Just silly little set pieces with great puppets and a very goofy, bloody tone.

Sometimes less IS more! ...though ironically not in fashion fluff; they should have kept more of this. It's fun! So many games are moody and somber or dramatic or whatever Mork Borg is; more should be just kinda dumb and colorful!

There is a tragic lack of shopping in most RPGs I read and frankly it's disappointing; what is even the point of money if you can't spend it on luxury goods? I mean this as a joke but also literally; I don't like "lifestyle costs" or whatever; why not let me actually buy fun things? It's fun!

Okay so 350 is a lot but these boots are real leather and they have laces, not zippers, so it's like, kind of worth it. It's really a form of security; nobody can possibly steal them as they can't really even come off.

I think if I have one isolated demand for rpgs it’s that the characters have to fit the tone of the game. a lot of games convey this well—Cthulhu- and others don’t, like D&D. the more story focused, the more vital this is! I think some classes should be off the table sometimes, for example.

I'm entirely out of my element but all I really have to say about ai is that it's making my college classes tedious, at least any that require forum posts, and that I've met lots of AI and computer science guys in SF and they're obviously pretty smart on average.

Did it make them more emphathetic or did it make them say more emphathetic things on a survey? Because my lean is towards the second; like, I think I have some really cruel parts of me. Reading hasn't made them go away, but I do think it helps me like, recognize them and account for them.

Yeah, my original thought was that knowledge in general is value neutral; its value lies in how it's used. But that ends up being a mouthful and for no real gain; and I'm not sure it's even true. The problem is actually that I don't know what I mean by "value." Embarrassing 💀

It's hard to imagine what I'd be like if I wasn't a reader though, because it's such a major feature of my life. But I think i might make worse, crueler choices, probably. So I guess having all these voices in my head, from all these stories, is actually pretty helpful.

I've been thinking about this and maybe I recant. Reading is probably helpful for a lot of people. It might not change who I am, but it has taught me ways of thinking about things and while I might not be a better person at my core I can at least be aware of it and act better than I would otherwise.
