Per the instructions on the site, you can upload the PDF to an AI and ask for "adaptive footnotes" to see what it sees. Pretty interesting, and as far as we know no one has done this before.

My wife @jadewang.me wrote a collection of poetry that is designed to be read by AI. To be clear, it is NOT written by AI. Jade wrote everything herself. But it contains puzzles that very few humans have enough context to figure out, but most frontier models do.

Very well, if you want that, we have the best "egress control" possible: You can *write a Worker* that handles egress from your sandbox. Inject credentials, filter requests, arbitrarily rewrite, whatever. It's code, you can do anything. developers.cloudflare.com/dynamic-work...

That said, if you are working with existing HTTP-based client libraries (which you want to inject into the sandbox), then perhaps HTTP filtering is easier to get started with.

You can define the RPC interface to support exactly the operations you want to support, so it's totally obvious what the agent can and can't do. Then you just tell the agent the TypeScript type definition of the interface and let it code.

Dynamic Workers let you block internet access entirely, and then constructively grant the sandbox access to specific TypeScript interfaces, via Cap'n Web RPC. Essentially you can invent your own "Workers bindings" to give it, pointing at whatever you want. A chat room. A git repo. Etc.

But that's only half of it. Lots of people today are talking about keeping API keys out of your agent sandbox by injecting them into requests on the way out. You can do that with Dynamic Workers, but you can also do *much better*.

Agents should interact with the world by writing code, not tool calls. Just like you might write a little bash script to do a task. But starting a container for every end user is impractical. Dynamic Workers solve this -- now millions of end users can each have their own agent, writing code.

Cap'n Proto capabilities are inherently ephemeral. Even if we get the proxy out of the picture with 3PH, a simple network hiccup, or the server or client restarting, would still lose the capability. Persistent capabilities have to be handled at a different layer. Cap'n Proto doesn't cover that.

Cap'n Proto 3PH could be useful in large distributed systems where single requests bounce between many machines. The infrastructure behind Durable Objects is an example, and we want 3PH for that. But these kinds of systems aren't that common I think.

What I'm seeing with agents right now is you want to give it a persistent token, not ephemeral capabilities that might randomly disappear. So 3PH (in Cap'n Proto, at least) doesn't actually end up having much to offer there.

3PH applies to "live" capabilities -- ones that only exist in the context of a connection, and are lost if the connection is closed. Once you have persistent capabilities (like, a secret token), this tends not to matter -- you can directly connect to the service with the token.

3PH is an optimization. Anything you can do with it can also work with proxying. I do agree that capability-passing has a lot to offer AI agents (this is my main focus right now!), but I don't think 3PH itself is the thing that unlocks it.

You have always been able to forward capabilities, but it uses proxying, not three-party handoff. I did actually land 3PH in C++ last year but there was some sort of regression forcing us to roll it back and I haven't gotten around to debugging that yet.
