Actually I found it pretty clear and her points well made and convincing. I for one didn’t realize that Sinon was not a character in the Homer’s Odyssey and I had just read it. Sometimes experts in one thing are really good at their one thing.

No doubt you are correct but likewise some faculty members are using it carefully and finding that if it is used properly it can be a useful tool replacing older evaluation methods Some will try and ignore it others will embrace it, probably along disciplinary lines.

Thanks. My reading of the evidence is that it is producing more nuanced results. I don’t envy those who need to navigate it as a pedagogical tool but if you use it carefully so that it does not replace cognitive activity it can be useful. Some faculty will fight it others will embrace it.

This is something that might be true but saying it is happening without any evidence sounds like something that makes people distrust academics. Is there no possible case to be made. As your colleges in economics might say. “Solve for the equilibrium”.

The problem is that he is a bit of a loose cannon, has a wildly over inflated sense of his gifts and has not demonstrated that he would be a good leader. But he seems like a perfect Liberal in his sense of entitlement.

I would fully expect a Democratic Party president to behave similarly now that the cat is out of the bag. They will do it in a less crude way but with the same results. The tariffs are not leaving with a new government
