A great night in New Rochelle with the New York Hispanic American Law Enforcement Organization. Their Gala of Heroes brought together law enforcement and public safety professionals to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize some truly dedicated people.

A wonderful Labor Day afternoon with the St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church community in Yonkers. Families came together for food and fellowship, while also supporting neighbors through free school supplies, health check-ups and a community coat drive.

A major step forward for affordable housing in Mount Vernon. I was honored to join Simone Development Companies, Stagg Group, Rev. Dr. L'Judie Matt-Simmons and other partners for the groundbreaking of QWest Towers, a new transit-oriented development that will create 229 affordable apartments.
