Behold the Collins pocket Portuguese/English dictionary. I’ve had it since my college days. I will keep it forever, not least because both my youngest granddaughters love to walk around “reading” it. I think it’s because it looks like a grownup book, but it’s just their size. It’s kinda adorable.

When I see young people at H-E-B these days, wearing their jeans, t-shirts and sneakers, I want to tell them how lucky they are. Back in the 70s we had to wear short sleeve white poly/cotton dress shirts, blue polyester slacks (great in the summer!), loafers, and that damned polka dot bow tie. #heb
