I donated Mum's books to the bookshop at Biddulph Grange and I've boxed up Dad's ready to take ... so it's lovely to see they've raised lots of money for new flowers! Couldn't resist Shari Lapena's latest novel, bargain at £4! #biddulphgrange #nationaltrust #books #reading

Oh no! Hope you feel better soon!

Happy 92nd Birthday to my Dad ♥. Will pop in to see him later with cards, chocolate, cake 🎂 and candles (not 92 I hasten to add!) #mydad

No hedgehogs and the food is still there. Very little on the camera this morning other than a couple of cats passing by ! #nature #mygarden

No Barry went in early 2022, white feathers were found in the bushes when he'd not been seen for a few days. He'd been there at least 7 years!

Kendie @kendie.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

There's also a white duck, I wonder if they are a relative of Barry the duck who was a character of The Dingle! #nature #walks

I regularly walked around The Dingle during lockdown, it helped that for awhile there was a resident kingfisher but even after it went I would go for my lunchtime walk there! Not been in ages so I popped along this afternoon. It's lovely and peaceful just me, the ducks, squirrels and birds. #nature

Is Keith Bymer Jones taking fashion tips from Wallace #CelebrityPotteryThrowdown

Managed to convert one of my hedgehog avi files to mp4 so hopefully it will upload and play on here ! #hedgehog #nature #mygarden

I got so excited by what had been in the garden during the night I forgot to post photos of the sunrise this morning 🤣 #sunrise #nature #mygarden

I think I need to change the sign on my hog house to "no vacancies" ♥️ It wouldn't let me post the avi videos so these are screenshots #hedgehog #nature #mygarden

It's so sad, I do worry for people with no family 😞 Glad your sister is improving.

I popped in see Dad earlier. He was sitting in the 'throne' in the lounge (posh leather chair). A week on from being in hospital he's doing so well being back Bradwell. Hospital maybe be able to treat the illness but they are not able to administer the care needed for someone with dementia.

Also put some leaves by entrance to see if they get disturbed. They'll probably knock me down a few stars on TripAdvisor for having a messy entrance 🤣🤣 #hedgehog #nature

Nature camera set up down by Hog House to see who turns up! Bit of a rush job set it up as it's only just come but wanted set it up before it goes dark. Might need some tweaking tomorrow and according to instructions which I've read since needs be higher off the ground ! #hedgehog #nature

Lovely in the garden this morning in the autumn sunshine #mygarden #nature

Was up early this morning so it was lovely to watch the sunrise. #sunrise #nature

Kendie @kendie.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I've just ordered a garden nature camera so I can see what's going on down the bottom of the garden

I'd love to think a hedgehog🦔 has been popping in but could also be those long tailed pests that can sometimes be found down the bottom of the garden 🐀 #hedgehog #nature

Kendie @kendie.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I checked in my hog house yesterday and something had definitely been in, so I moved the straw up to the end. Just been check and the hay has been flattened and it looks like something made itself comfortable overnight. I've popped a small amount of hog feed in there. #hedgehogs #nature

A couple of hours in the garden this morning, tidying up and moving plants around now the hot summer is over but still some sunshine. Some have faired better than others but I've cut the worse bits out and #nature is wonderful so hopefully they will recover. Roses still flowering and my sunflowers.

Kendie @kendie.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

5.30 pm after you've sat in waiting all afternoon... i have mine booked 8.00 am - 1.00pm on the 12th October! I'll get up early so I'm ready for 8.00 and then they'll arrive probably around noon!

oh I could just eat some iced gems ! Bet they taste nothing like they did when you were a kid though ! #GBBO

I thought that when I nipped out to the bin ! Put my winter duvet back on today !

Jigsaw done ... to a fashion. Not sure those remaining white edge bits are in the right places but I was beyond caring just wanted it out the way. Can't say I've really enjoyed doing it as I couldn't complete like I usually do jigsaws! #jigsaw #jigsawpuzzles

Definitely not a salad day today so picked up some ingredients to make leek and potato soup ... but I forgot one vital ingredient, the leeks! Thankfully found some in the freezer! Big saucepan of spicey leek and potato soup made! #soupseason #homemadesoup

My Dad is 92 in a few days. In his 70s he cycled the West Coast of America, at 74 the coast of Britain and at 75 the coast of Ireland. So yes, get back on that saddle!

Kendie @kendie.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I record it, skip all the talking bits just watch the dancing and the judges. Have done for a few years. Makes it more manageable. It's a dancing show not a chat show!

Been too see Dad now he's back in his care home. There was no purple bow on his door, he was up sat watching TV in his room eating lunch. I could have cried when I saw him ❤️ Whilst in hospital he's not been out of bed, slept nearly all the time and the palliative care team had been to see us twice!

I like the elegant dismount from the lounger 🤣

Floaty frock, it'll warm up and you'll be thankful you wore something cool.

Kendie @kendie.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Dad is out of hospital and back at his care home. Been a worrying week but hopefully he'll be on the road to recovery ready for his 92nd Birthday on the 7th October! He's been well cared for by the NHS but hospital aren't good places for people with dementia #NHS #dementia

Been a difficult week, Dad was rushed into hospital on Monday with breathing difficulties. He's responded to treatment but it's still early days. I'm spending a lot of time back and to from hospital but hopefully he can be discharged and back to his care home soon.

Top Tip ... don't sterilise your Chilly bottle with Milton and descale it with a desclar solution because one of them has reduced it's ability to keep water hot! Should have taken Sarah's advice ... yes ignorance is bliss! Bottle is now downgraded for cold water only! #chilly #chillybottle

I skipped through most of it. It's a dance show not a chat show so I want see them dancing! I thought how they found out their partner was confusing and by the second lot, I'd lost interest ! So overall it wasn't a great start.

I noticed bits of limescale in my #Chilli bottle. Only ever use the bottle for water, hot or cold. I empty after use and always leave it drain. So I filled it with boiling water and sterilising fluid and left it over night. Look at the colour of the water! That's just from use with our tap water!

Cherish this time as there will come a time when your Mum is no longer around and watching a You Tube video is no substitute to your Mum teaching you !

Kendie @kendie.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

popped the heating on for an hour tonight ... just taking Dad's advice and giving it a run - nothing do with being nesh 🤣
