GenX, so I really don’t exist. But seriously, I garden, go for long walks, and take life slowly; I believe in democracy, equal access, and inclusion. Cover […] [bridged from mindly.social/@Kendal857 on the fediverse by fed.brid.gy ]

Sharing my #gratitude for a #garden that continues to sustain us. I do wish this year didn’t require Ironman level of commitment. #Summer2026 #gardening #hazyhothumid

A large bunch of purple and orange carrots with their greens resting on a white countertop.

I’ve had a tough few months and am trying to appreciate the beauty around me. #autumn #gratitude

A red and orange tipped maple. The spread of its branches is wider than it is tall. There’s a white home with a gray roof in the background and green grass.

A fall woodland scene. Ther are many upright TRP trunks surrounded by yellow leaves that have fallen. A tree in the foreground has a striking swath of bright yellow leaves. Next to it is a bus with delicate light pink leaves.

Spotted this ray of sunshine in the garden today. It doesn’t mind the frost we had a few nights ago. #bloomscrolling #gardening

A black-eyed Susan flower with bright yellow petals and an almost black seed head growing through a black cast iron plant stand. There is gardening debris: a black plastic bucket, a green plastic window planter box, brick, brown fall leaves, wood stakes.

I do things and then promptly forget. Last spring I must have shaken zinnia seeds in the flower pot by the front door. It’s on the north side of the house, but still managed to bloom. The frost a couple nights ago didn’t kill the plant. One tough bloom. And it’s orange! #bloomscrolling #gardening

An orange-petaled zinnia just starting to open up with large green leaves growing in a terracotta pot. The photo is taken from above. There is a hydrangea bush to its left that is way past its prime for the season. The view includes portions of a concrete sidewalk and a brick patio.

An orange-petaled zinnia still slightly curled but opening up with large green leaves growing in a terracotta pot. The photo is taken from the side. There is a hydrangea bush to its left that is way past its prime for the season. The view includes portions of a brick patio.

No paper tigers here today!

A woman at the top of a flight of steps with an American flag spread behind her. There is a statue of a bronze tiger to her left and there is fall foliage behind her.

Quote from Henry Miller, “the aim of life is to live. And to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.” With a stylized hand drawn bluebird.

[Food] This #LaborDay we are eating the fruits of our labor, as is tradition. Despite heat and drought, we managed to get a good harvest from our garden and have plenty to take us far into autumn. #VeggieGrowing #VeggieDinner

A spread of vegetable dishes in bowls with serving utensils on a tabletop. There is corn, edamame, zucchini wedges, a yellow tomato salad, cucumber and onion salad, carrot dressing, green beans, and fried paneer.

@potterybyosa I agree! #gardening #hope

I want to welcome my cousin @okelle to the fediverse!

“This, my dear, is the greatest challenge to being alive:
To witness the injustice of this world,
And not allow it to consume our light.”
