Peatlands are a vital source of carbon storage that many people have never heard of. Yet they are dangerously under-protected, shows a new study led by WCS. Only 17% fall within a protected area. Puts their carbon stores at risk and threatens global freshwater supply. 🌍 bit.ly/4hVYQRp
