I’m trying to figure out a few things… maybe @mavrickfitz.bsky.social has some knowledge too: 1. Is the city or TDOT the one installing this new sidewalk at Union & Cooper? 2. Why is it angled into the middle of the intersection rather than across, where the crosswalk is?

Traffic engineers: Where can I find the OFFICIAL manual for how truncated domes are supposed to be placed? In this photo, I assume that this is suggesting for a person to walk right into the intersection, but I may be wrong about how these are used.

An intersection where the sidewalk had a yellow truncated dome rectangle angled toward the middle of the intersection, rather than across the street to the other continuous sidewalk.
