I have a new short story up at the lovely NELLE literary journal, living behind the pages of this gorgeous cover by Melissa Shultz-Jones. NELLE readers and editors were kind enough to select my story for the Three Sisters Award for Fiction, which was such a nice surprise! www.uab.edu/cas/englishp...

Um, yeah, so this happened! Thanks @megpokrass.bsky.social for choosing my weird flash about grief as one of the winners of the CRAFT 2024 Flash Prose Prize. "Pareidolia" will be published April 11 with my craft essay about how this story came to be (hint: it was in @smokelong.bsky.social Fitness)!

One of the best parts of being a writer is celebrating with other writers. More than a year ago, I was in a coffee shop talking to Adelle Purdham about her forthcoming memoir-in-essays and now it's here! #BookLaunched #BookCookies #WritingCommunity
