Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 19/03/2026That is a beautiful sound, makes this Canuck proud to see a Canadian band creating that sensational music. Thanks again @rockandbluesmuse.bsky.social 172

Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 19/03/2026Now that is Smoooooth" Laura is a guitar player that pulls you in, and takes you on a journey, but does it without sounding like she is trying. Sensational sound thanks again @rockandbluesmuse.bsky.social 110
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 25/12/2025I am truly saddened to read this post. Do not know you, but what I see you seem to be a good person, dealing with a bad hand dealt to you. I kind of hoped that adult creator was not a source of problems, but a tool you use at this point in your life. 113
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 25/12/2025I went bankrupt in early 30's, I was homeless as a teen, and from both those places in my life I could never see where I am now, but I kept trying, it is all you can do. I turn 59 in a few days, & even from a good place now (finance, health, emotionally, family), I still worry a lot of the time 110
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 25/12/2025Everyone can do good, most are not presented with the opportunity to change the world, but everyone can change one person's world for a moment. Every kind word, bit of encouragement you put out into the world is real & valuable. & from those who struggle, the kindness you put out is doubly valuable. 110
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 25/12/2025I am Canadian, so only watch stories of US Healthcare & insurance like a horror show, but we use primary care (family Dr) who are not gatekeepers, but as primary care who work with you, and will make referrals to others as needed. Primary care as overall point of care is not a problem. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 30/11/2025There is another option, vote and vote with your wallet. Disagree with fossil fuel being used, do not use any, and if enough do that, there will be no money in it. Instead vote/spend on alternatives you agree with, again other way, if enough invest in green, companies will put their focus there. 020
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/2025I had missed this post, and as such had not heard this album till now, first impressions, this will go into my rotation right away. Thanks for the new music @rockandbluesmuse.bsky.social 221

Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/2025Closing thoughts: post is my thoughts from someone on the outside looking in, someone who gets most healthcare needed at close to no out of pocket cost, with minimal wait times. And who pays less in tax to fund healthcare than most US citizen pay for partial coverage with insurance plans. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/202513) Uninsured/Underinsured: A significant portion of the U.S. population has no insurance or is underinsured, severely limiting all healthcare choices for them until an emergency occurs, at which point care is provided regardless of ability to pay, but at a high cost to the system and patient 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/202512a) Many such countries also have supplementary private options that citizens can use if they desire more choice or faster access for non-urgent care. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/202512) Access vs. Choice: Government-run systems in other wealthy nations typically guarantee universal access to basic care, ensuring that everyone can get necessary treatment without fear of bankruptcy. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/202511) Different Types of Limitations: The statement suggests government-run systems inherently have more limitations. While some systems have wait times for non-urgent/elective, the U.S. system rations care by ability to pay, creating its own form of limitation for the uninsured & underinsured. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/202510a) This financial burden itself limits a person's "choice" to seek care in the first place, with one-third of U.S. families having to put off healthcare due to cost 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/202510) Individual Responsibility and Cost: The "personal responsibility" aspect translates to individuals bearing significant financial risk through high premiums, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs, which can lead to substantial medical debt. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20259) Choice of Health Plans (Often Limited): While there are many plans available on the market, most receive insurance through their employer, who offers a limited selection. The ability to shop outside employer plan is often not financially feasible due to high cost of individual premiums. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20258) Many marketplace plans under the Affordable Care Act also use limited provider networks, with enrollees having access to only a fraction of local doctors on average. Physicians can also choose which insurance plans they accept, which further limits patient choice. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20257) Plans like Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) or Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs) have specific networks, and going "out-of-network" results in significantly higher costs, making true "free choice" a financial impossibility for most. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20256) Choice of Doctors (Limited): The current U.S. system offers a theoretical broad choice, but in reality, access to doctors is significantly limited by insurance networks. Most Americans have employer-sponsored insurance, and their choices are constrained to a network of approved providers. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20255) Geographic Limitations: In some rural areas, there may be limited doctors or hospitals, and perhaps only one or two insurance providers available on the marketplace, which restricts meaningful choice regardless of the system design. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20254) Cost as a Limiting Factor: High deductibles, co-pays, and premiums mean that for many, the "choice" to opt for a more comprehensive plan or a specific out-of-network specialist is financially prohibitive, making it a choice in name only. 010
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20253) Narrow Networks: Even within a chosen plan, individuals are often restricted to a specific network of doctors and hospitals (HMOs and PPOs have these limitations) to get the best price. Going out-of-network results in significantly higher costs, effectively limiting "choice of doctors." 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20252) Employer-Sponsored Insurance: The vast majority of Americans get their insurance through their employer, who often selects a single insurer or a small set of plans, severely limiting the employee's "individual choice" of plans. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/20251) Inaccuracy in practice/real-world limitations: Critics argue the statement oversimplifies the reality for many Americans today, who often have limited choices in practice: 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 01/11/2025Evaluating Republican health care key arguments. Individual Choice & Personal Responsibility: A free market system (private insurance options) emphasizes the right of citizens to make healthcare decisions & choose their own doctors/health plans, rather than choices limited by government-run system. 1600

Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 12/06/2025What a great sound - vocals & Instruments! Great mix of traditional slow blues sound and modern blues - with a solo that is so hot my speakers now have blisters. Thanks again @rockandbluesmuse.bsky.social for adding to my daily playlist. 010
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 11/06/2025Just thinking re US & ICE. US has the right to control immigration (as does any country) but must use the legal process to do so (not current ICE kidnapping). But want to really make a difference, when they find undocumented/illegals working - fine (large $) the company who is employing them. 000
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 12/05/2025Nice sound, was not sure what to expect, but I do like this a lot. Thanks @rockandbluesmuse.bsky.social for the addition to my music mix (again). 142
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 29/04/2025Or to put it another way, majority of Sask voters did not support Liberal party/leader/policy (or remembered same party over last 10 years), so they voted for the party that they did support, but you are not happy, so it must be a mistake? 000

Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 12/04/2025he was a cabinet minister, as such he had a security clearance, so you need to correct your liberal talking point. 100
Just a guy @kellyeric.bsky.social · 16/03/2025When you say tax the rich, do you mean tax on income (as most do not have much income, it is structured that way), or tax on wealth? I agree wealthy companies must pay more, but be careful taxing on what you own, slippery slope. Soon having a house or car will be a taxable offense. 210
