Good catch! But have you somehow time-traveled forward into May? It's still April...

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 27/04/2025

Right. Fox News Channel and other cable networks aren't regulated by the FCC, because they aren't over-the-air. And they don't have to fit into any official categories - whether news, entertainment, etc.

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

Uh, there are no agreements with authorities regarding news VS entertainment either. That's not a thing in the US.

I'm selling & signing "Inland Empire & San Gabriel Movie Theatres" today at the Route 66 Mother Road Museum's grand reopening event in Barstow. Classic car show, food vendors, live music, historical & community organizations, etc. 10am-2pm at the historic Harvey House complex, Casa Del Desierto.

Still, sorry it happened to you!

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 30/01/2025

Those adorable puppies would never! But the kitten halftime show does get vicious sometimes, & if any pet's going to defame someone, it would probably be a cat, right? 😅 We'll have to keep an eye out for any potentially defamatory meows. I bet Murderball could interpret them for Ken...

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

Good questions! I'm 99% sure it's a bot account. Its replies seem very AI-like.

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Translation from noir: The husband, who's wearing a baseball cap indicating that he's a veteran, gave Ken a nasty look.

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 12/01/2025

Agreed! But they left Hulu a while ago. Deutschland 83 is still findable elsewhere, but not 86 or 89.

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 12/01/2025

Fantastic series (or, well, an amazing set of 3 miniseries). Only Deutschland 83 is on Prime (at least in the US); it's also buyable elsewhere. Per the JustWatch & ReelGood apps, though, 86 & 89 aren't available for streaming or digital purchase at all, unfortunately.

Sending my best wishes to your mother and her neighbors!

Just saw this thread today, and going through it has been quite a ride! Between his lawsuit threat and his sock puppet claims, this guy is definitely bringing back some memories...

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

Me too. I still remember my first road trip with my Creative Zen (when I couldn't figure out how to get it out of Shuffle mode). I'm pretty sure I still have it in a box or drawer somewhere...

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

Something like that happened in (spoiler alert) an episode of HBO's space-set satire, "Avenue 5." The ejected body kept orbiting the ship, visible to everyone on board.

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

I'm betting they're filled with snarky and witty observations from all involved! Must be a great place to work...

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

Yeah, Winklevii has seemed to be the standard name for them ever since "The Social Network" came out (if not earlier).

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

Right. The election lolsuit era & the Threadnought were heydays for litigation disaster tourism. These days, the truly nutty cases seem more sporadic & random. But they do keep popping up, especially with AI making inroads - as with this ridiculous suit. Glad to get to watch it unfold!

I was thinking he might have meant 2A.

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

Same. IANAL, but I'm pretty sure that's not the outcome they were trying to get! Wouldn't surprise me if that's what the AI did, though...

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

The change seems to only be related to replies to Elon's posts, not everyone's posts.

Not sure how much they were marketed, but these both got canceled after 2 unique and interesting seasons: The Afterparty & Schmigadoon.

Just what I was looking for! Thanks.

Kelli Shapiro @kellishapiro.bsky.social · 24/12/2024

Same here. Some historically/ architecturally significant parking garages exist (like the L.A. one that became South Park Lofts). But deeming a parking lot historic & preservation-worthy seems like it would be quite a stretch, outside of exceptional circumstances. www.latimes.com/archives/la-...

latimes.com

Lofty Designation for a Downtown Garage

A structure that helped propel L.A.'s car culture gains landmark status. It's been converted to rentals, with a familiar beef: too little parking.

On the plus side, by checking her Replies for other reply spam to report, I did get to see this cute cat pic from @radiofreetom.bsky.social

I thought she was continuing the "Classic Twitter" bit by doing a fake spam reply. Clever! But then I checked her timeline, and that account is saying the same thing on lots of posts. Sigh... I guess BlueSky does become more Twitter-like every day. Reporting and blocking - just like on Twitter!

It's adorable! I wonder if it's too late to add a kangaroo rat to my Christmas list...

The claim is basically that, because of the poll showing Trump behind, the Trump campaign had to spend more $ campaigning in Iowa than it expected to. The notion that the reallocated $ and time turned out to be well-spent (since, you know, he ended up winning) is apparently lost on him. 🙄

I haven't gone further than the usernames. But my guess is that the posting ones may be self-moderating their behavior here, afraid of getting banned. Most don't seem worried about that prospect on Twitter. As you said, though, antisemitism also exists in some other parts of Bluesky, unfortunately
