Funny how transparency always seems to disappear the moment it reaches the people with the most power.

I’m honored to be speaking at No Kings 3 in Sedona on March 28. Across the country people are gathering to say something simple and essential: in America, no one stands above the law. Democracy requires participation — and sometimes it requires showing up together. We have friends everywhere. ✊🏼

Somehow I just landed at #93 Rising in U.S. Politics on Substack… after only 16 days. I’m honestly stunned. Thank you all for reading, sharing, and building this little community with me. We really do have friends everywhere! ✊🏼 (Link in the reply — it’s all free to read.)

Let’s be honest: today’s GOP is carrying water for Moscow. This “peace plan” didn’t come from Ukraine — it came from Russia. Democracies don’t survive when their own politicians act as pipelines for authoritarian regimes. ✊🏼🇺🇦

I found a photo today of my grandfather at a wartime rally — part of the anti-Bolshevik resistance. Seeing it and reflecting on my own moment hit harder than I expected. The resolve I rely on isn’t new. The resistance is in my blood. ✊🏼

Most people shoot in one predictable way. Better photos start with composition — change your angle, shift your subject, get lower. Even macro shots (like this bee) come alive with the same approach. iPhoneography Crash Course Thursday: sedonaartscenter.org/product/ipho...

Keyhole Sink might be one of the most overlooked archaeological sites in northern Arizona. The basalt walls are covered in Sinagua petroglyphs — spirals, animals, patterns — all carved around 700–1,000 years ago. It’s impossible to stand there and not feel the weight of that history.

The desert doesn’t rush. It sharpens itself slowly — edge by edge, season by season. There’s something comforting about that.

✊🏼 We keep showing up. Empathy shouldn’t need an algorithm. We’ll keep telling the truth anyway — because connection is stronger than control. #WeHaveFriendsEverywhere #EmpathyOverAlgorithms #RealReach

🔍 The silencing illusion. Creators think they’ve lost momentum. Communities think interest is gone. But it’s not burnout or boredom — it’s the system deciding who gets heard.

💰 The profit filter. Pages that monetize, boost posts, or push ad-friendly content get rewarded. Civic voices, compassion, or reflection get labeled “sensitive.” It’s not moderation — it’s monetization.

👉 The algorithm blames you. It reads the silence it created as “declining engagement.” Then it pushes your reach even lower — a feedback loop that punishes authenticity. Low reach → low engagement → lower reach.

Kelli Klymenko @kelliklymenko.com · 11/11/2025
😶 They hide your work. Your audience doesn’t vanish — Meta just stops showing your posts. Reach drops from tens of thousands to a few dozen. The algorithm misreads silence as disinterest — and you get buried deeper.
110
Kelli Klymenko @kelliklymenko.com · 11/11/2025
After a viral post, Meta runs an “engagement cooldown.” It throttles your next few posts — to see if your momentum was real or if you’ll pay to “boost” it. If you don’t, reach collapses. It’s not a glitch — it’s the design.

Kelli Klymenko @kelliklymenko.com · 11/11/2025
You go viral — organically. No ads. No ragebait. Just empathy, truth, and community. Your message spreads because people care, not because you paid for reach. Meta says that’s what they want — until it actually happens. Then the system flags you.

The cost of going viral — on Meta. What happens when you build real connection… and the system decides that’s bad for business. A short explainer — from empathy to algorithm. (🧵) #Algorithms #CivicVoice #Creators #SocialMediaTruth #WeHaveFriendsEverywhere

Fascism wins through silence. If you’re afraid to lose business or family, remember: they’re stealing your rights, your history, your country. Don’t sell to MAGA. Don’t serve fascism. We lift each other up — we fight back together. ✊🏼

I have a few words to say today — not for myself, but for everyone who still believes this country belongs to the people. We’re stronger than fear. Kinder than hate. Far more united than they want us to be. And we have friends everywhere. See you in the streets. ✊🏼

History doesn’t just repeat — it warns. In Weimar Germany, Nazis staged fights then claimed only they could save the nation. Sound familiar? Trump + MAGA brand liberals “terrorists,” deploy troops for Fox war-zone images, erase right-wing violence, and unleash threats. Call it what it is: fascism.

MAGA demands our empathy while showing us none — then lies that we’re the violent ones. Facts say otherwise: 93% of BLM protests were peaceful, yet 13 of 14 recent deadly political attacks came from the far right. Welcome to the Hunger Games.

How. Exhausting. This. Is. Nearly half of Project 2025 is complete in just 200 days. This isn’t a vision board, it’s an authoritarian roadmap: dismantling checks & balances, stripping rights, silencing dissent, weaponizing power against communities. GOP extremists should be afraid of us.

Fascism isn’t coming. It’s here. We’re not trying to stop it—we’re fighting to end it. Our institutions have been captured. Pretending we’re still in prevention mode keeps us behind. We must organize locally, build community defense, and fight the battle we’re living in.

They claim blue cities are “ruining America.” But Republican-led states lead in: 🔺 Federal aid dependence 🔺 Poverty & low life expectancy 🔺 Crime per capita 🔺 Education gaps 🔺 Failed economic experiments They’ve had power for decades — and left their people behind. 7/7

Red states = the real welfare states. They shout “small government” but rely heavily on FEMA, SNAP, Medicaid, and disaster relief. Red states received more in FEMA funds per capita than blue states over the last decade. (Source: U.S. Treasury, GAO, AP) 6/7

50 years of failure. Kansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana — GOP-controlled for decades. Low wages. Poor schools. Underfunded healthcare. Their leaders blame immigrants, Democrats, or “wokeism” — while enriching themselves. (Source: Brookings, Pew Research, NPR) 5/7

They blame “Democrat cities” — but ignore reality: The states with the highest crime rates per capita are overwhelmingly red: – Louisiana – Mississippi – Arkansas – Alaska – Alabama State-level policy impacts crime far more than city politics (FBI Uniform Crime Report, World Population Review) 4/7

Sedona, Arizona One of the most beautiful places in the country — built by community, sustained by care, not by rage and ignorance. They say Democratic cities are destroying America — but the truth? Red states are the ones falling apart. 1/7

Everything can feel overwhelming. Step outside if you can—or let nature reach you through photos, sound, or memory. Even that can calm your mind. It’s okay to be angry or tired. But you deserve rest. You deserve peace. Breathe. Reconnect. Rejuvenate.

When we stay silent out of fear, we abandon each other. Silence is permission. They may be louder, richer, and backed by power — but we have each other. Keep speaking. We will overcome. This is how we win. ✊🏽
