Know why I don’t believe there are “dead people voting” in elections? My mother in law passed away on September 9. Nine days later, on September 18, our local election board sent us a letter notifying us that she had been purged from the voter roll. Don’t believe the lies. #GoVote

I desperately wanted this as a kid off the rack, but it didn’t meet my mom’s standards. As an adult I snapped up the first one I could find, and it met all my expectations.

Today was my birthday , and it was a good day. I was able to do what I wanted - some things just for me, and also for others, which is always a good thing to do. Finished the day with my family having good food and laughter, which was perfect. Here’s to #56!

This is one of my absolute favorite issues from childhood. I carried it with me in many a family trip out of town or state. So very good.

Yeah. It also happened 2 or 3 weeks after a flooring replacement project that took all semester to complete in all 3 floors. It was hell on earth from August of last year into about February of this year. Retirement at the end of May was a relief.

You haven’t lived until you have a catastrophic water event and it moves from top floor to bottom, where said room is located. They had the doors open and fans going for 3 weeks to get it dried out completely. Scary stuff.

I wasn’t all in on the entire Valiant line but there were 4-5 titles that had me hooked. I miss that fun new creative energy they brought to comics back in the day.

This one snuck up on me and just blew my mind. It was so raw and gritty, and it wasn’t like any other comic I’d ever seen. Loved it then and love it now.

Sitting with my wife beside my mother-in-law’s bed this morning waiting for her to pass. She’s here at home with us, in her own bed, and comfortable. All made possible by a local hospice whose care and support has been amazing. Love and peace to you all.

Filmed up the road from here, that shot is GA Hwy 212 between Milledgeville and Monticello, where most of the town scenes were filmed.

This, exactly. I enjoy a majority of the comics content out now, because it’s what I always dreamed of as a kid. It’s eventually going to fade out, so I want to consume as much as I can while it lasts.

Tell me you’ve never been to Georgia without saying you’ve never been to Georgia. As much as I’m not a fan of UGA, it definitely resides in Athens, Georgia, and should be correctly placed. #BookInaccuracies #DoTheResearch
A captured of a portion of the text of a book, in which the author erroneously places the University of Georgia in Atlanta. In reality, it resides in Athens, Georgia.

Great. Our Moron-In-Chief is going to make it harder to get candy bars. Or at least more expensive. Dammit. I’m sorry, Canadian friends. If it were up to me, we would be your next province. #AmericaIsDumb #CanWeBeCanadiansNow

Had some visitors yesterday. We charged no tariffs for their stay, but they did generously give us some goose turds. I guess I can’t blame them. #Geese #GooseLounge

Filled with rage today. So much unfairness and malevolence directed from on high, for no other reason than it can be done. From the local politicians all the way up to the creator of the whole f’in universe. To hell with it all.

As an American who loves the people of Canada and wants good relations with them, it makes me sad that this is probably what will happen. However, I can’t say I can disagree. I hope the time comes when we have a government that thinks like I do.

If your organization has a Windows 365 license, you can opt to use the online version. I did that for the final 8 or so years of my time at our university, and it made using Outlook so much easier on my Mac. I found the copilot dreck easier to ignore and it really made Outlook work better for me.

lol, probably not. Somewhere in the back of my mind I think I remember a miniseries where Rom is the ruler of his people and sends out other space knights for something, but isn’t in the armor himself. Maybe I dreamed that.

Yes, 100%. We had a community person who hung out in our academic library to stay cool in summer. In fall when the students came back there were complaints to Public Safety. The (terrible) chief at the time provoked and arrested him instead of letting him just be in the space. Just awful.

Short answer is that the license rights from Mattel (I think) expired and they weren’t able to retain the right to publish. Which is a shame, because it was a fun book in its prime.

The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country. -Abraham Lincoln

Oh I get it. It was always jarring to see a gorgeous Perez JLA cover and then open it to see Heck interiors. I think he was made for more than superhero comics, but that’s what he had to do to make a living.
