“Who let the theater kids orchestrate this?” Halloween themed art trade piece done for my bestie @shikyandi.bsky.social This took a lot of time, about 3 days but it did help with practice. ocs belong to her! i designed the bird! #art #digitalart #halloweenart #spooky

A complete digital fullbody illustration of two ocs within a theatre decorated with halloween props like pumpkins and fake intestines hanging from the ceiling. the illustration depicts a black heron oc (wearing a top hat and a frilled fancy collar) he is black, white and red in color and has a happy opened beak eyes closed expression on his face meanwhile his owner/human friend is a pale (albino) girl with stars and moon motifs/themes on her outfit/dress that matches his black, white and red feathers, she has has her arms stretched out excitedly with her eyes closed and open mouth, both seem to be performing/singing/rehearsing at the top of the stage.

A black and red colored black heron bird oc mid-jump/flight while smiling. it’s still unfinished as he is missing coloration on his top hat and frilly fancy collar.

Y’all really liked this! Tysm! I just finished it :> the dragon is kazimir and the human girl under his claws is cita. Long story short he really, REALLY does not like her, I’ll eventually get around to their lore and whatnot at some point. #art #ocart #digitalart #dragonartist #dragonart #OCsky

Digital illustration of two ocs. One is a black and red and dragon with a skull like face, he is currently pinning down his perceived enemy/opponent below his claws, she is currently shown to be held down forcibly as his claws sink into her flesh drawing a bit of blood. The one below his claws is a human tan female with silver (grey) hair with white tips. She has a look of anger and determination despite her predicament. The background is of a mountainous field with a setting sun behind them.

Shoutout to you if you understand the scene this is referencing. This is part one so theres not much to work out. Hint: its a scene from a Disney movie that was made back in 2002. #art #comic #digitalart #ocart

A quick draft of a ten panel page mini comic depicting my two ocs: bogrig a drake dragon (wingless four legged) and my human oc who is in her preteens funestus cita, or cita for short. Depicts cita out by a small lake alone, its indicated this is the spot she goes to in order to help make herself feel better, first 3 panels is a close up of a stone skipping the water then 4th panel is a close up of cita rubbing the back of her neck with a sad look in her eyes showing that this time it wasn’t helping her feel better, 5th panel is of her mentor and uncle figure bogrig coming out from the bushes and looking onward towards her silhouette by the lake shore, 6th panel is a close up of his face looking worried for her, 7th panel he finally approaches her and lands his large claw hand by her where she is currently sitting down tucking her knees as she turns her head to face his leg/him, 8th panel is of him lowering his head to her level and saying the following to her: “it wasn’t your fault, you know?”, 9th panel is then of him saying: “Why, yelplings (baby dragons) tend to make the-“ he is cut off on the last panel by cita shouting: “Bogrig!”.

Part 2: Wyrms & Wyverns These are quite interesting actually!! Both lay eggs regardless if they are fluffy or not!!

Digital fullbody sketches depicting a wyvern (top) and a wyrm (bottom)

Top: Wyverns, your typical 2 winged, 2 legged type of dragon (and yes wyverns are a type of dragon, don’t fight me on this!!). They actually lay their eggs in lava pits as the egg shells have developed to be as hard as rocks thanks due to their diet of metals and bones giving the eggs a hard calcium shell, due to this it is hard for them to incubate their young like their usual western cousins so they have figured out that lava pits was the perfect “nest” to keep their eggs in as the temperature from the lava pits was more than enough to successfully incubate the eggs for them. They are quite rare tho.

Bottom: Wyrms, limbless dragons even their name makes note of this ( wyrm = worm). They are actually parasitic in how they go about rearing their young. They tend to find live hosts (other smaller but big enough creatures like a bear) and would usually lay their incubated eggs inside the sleeping prey as this is the best chance to do so. The temperature of their host helps incubate their offspring in term giving the creatures a “false pregnancy” symptom in which the host regardless of gender begins to exhibit habits found in pregnancy. They start eating more than they can hold, fattening themselves up with food till they can’t eat anymore, they also tend to seek out more water than normal. Once its time to “birth” the creature will become bedridden as the hatchlings hatch from inside and begin eating their way out of the host while its still alive. This helps give the babies a starting chance.

More lore regarding the dragons of my world of eye of orionus!! Starting with the two most common/populated types: Scale/Smooth Skinned vs Pelt/Fur/Hair Skinned Dragons. Their full species name is Dragalius Drakoros. More info in alt text! #worldbuilding #art #sketchart #dragonart

A set of sketches depicting two fullbodies of two different dragon types:

Top one: Your typical western/ four legged, two winged dragon, it shows that they usually are of scales or smooth skin, in turn they are also the ones who actually lay eggs. They build nests atop of cliffs and high places as for when their offspring is finally born it would be easier to teach them to fly as they’re already at such a high vantage point. They also are the ones who can stay away from the nests for the longest as sometimes they leave their nests in pretty warm to hot cliff points which act like natural incubators in their stead.

Bottom one: Still your typical western dragon shape but they come in all other types/variants, both do actually. The furred/haired dragons always give live birth and go through pregnancies much more akin to humans albeit they have a much easier time managing by comparison. When the time is near, the females will group together in search for caves that provide shelter, appropriate temperatures and just enough food to last them during their time away in the nesting caves. During this time a single male of their choosing is selected to guard and provide additional assurance during this time, usually male dragons with the element to control earth/rocks is selected for this role.

“Even in concordia, afflicteds and omens roam amok. Pirates constantly fight off serpentine variants. These variants tend to be referred as deviled eels by the pirates who make concordia their home.”
