@mattzollerseitz.bsky.social Hey - couldn't find a way to message you, and not sure if you remember me, but some years back you watched one of my shorts and had nice things to say. I'm in post on my first feature film and I'd love to be able to share it with you when the time comes...

They really need to make a Starfox movie.

I realize I haven't shared this with you guys. Here's the teaser poster for my upcoming debut feature film Nobody Sees Me Like You Do, starring Eric Osborne and Joelle Farrow. I can't wait to share more when the time comes.

I really, truly cannot stop thinking that One Battle After Another is the closest we’ll ever get to an arthouse Terminator film, and I’m here for it.

Nothing like a dozen articles talking about and heralding the originality of Sinners and Adolescence and then having a producer review my original pilot and tell me that only established IP sells.

Took me years to finally sit down and read Haruki Murakami's 1Q84, and I'm glad I did. What a beautiful, unforgettable read. It may just be one of my favourite books. Now to read something else or start back at the beginning...

If there were ever a time for the Canadian film and television industry to have its golden age, for it to carve its own path outside of Hollywood, this is it.

The more I hear about AI, the more I wonder if theatre is the place to try and tell stories.

Keith Hodder @keithhodder90.bsky.social · 05/04/2025

Nothing hits me like a Haruki Murakami book. I love when I'm smack-dab in the middle of one, as it envelops me, and as I dream of which I'll read next. I don't like imagining a time when I'll have read them all, but I hope I'll just start from the top and start all over again.

Starting to wonder if Trump is using the tariffs to push us over the edge, to force us to react in an extreme way, so that when the time comes, he has an excuse to annex us.

If you've ever been curious how weird and self-absorbed the entertainment industry can get, look no further than all the nonsense surrounding 'It Ends With Us'. Even if this sort of controversy surrounded a movie like 'The Godfather' it would still be asinine and worthy of embarrassment.

I think Drew Starkey in Queer is up there with Alain Delon in terms of being one of the most naturally, effortlessly handsome men captured on film. If you haven't seen the movie, avoid the trailers and go in blind.

Keith Hodder @keithhodder90.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

I will say, watching fun videos and insightful interviews with David Lynch has given me a lot of courage to be myself, with all the weirdness and awkwardness that comes with that.

Saw Nosferatu last night and couldn't help but think that Eggers suffers from the same distraction that Nolan does. They're both so fascinated with the technical aspects of filmmaking that there's an emotional void in their films. It's hard to find a character to empathize with. A cold distance.
