Teddy Bear Sunflower is a popular cultivar. I saved the seeds last year & regrew them. They had crossed with some of the tall red types. So, I'll save 'em again. I like surprises. They cross as readily as those slutty brassicas.

A sunflower with hundreds of petals in addition to the standard ring of large petals. Also another flower head gone to seed. Most of my ripe sunflower heads go to feed our chickens in addition to wild birds.

This is climate breakdown, and its expressions are manifold. When temperatures exceed 110°F, passenger planes must consider lightening their loads. At 120 degrees (an increasingly common summer temperature across the Middle East and the American Southwest), flights are often canceled altogether. Such temperatures also ground firefighting aircraft, leaving cities, towns and forests even more vulnerable to a wildfire’s whims.
