After trying everything I could think of (Hardware + Software changes) I could not get power usage for BLE on the #ESP32 below around 100ma. Switched to a #nrf52840 and with no intervention power usage is down almost 15x to 7ma. If I put it to sleep that drops another almost 70x to 100µA! So Happy!!

This project was a lot of fun but not too many people saw it. It uses a #ESP32 to get the current time, sunrise, and sunset and shows you not how many hours are left in the day but how much sunlight is left. I did a development exercise a 15 months ago where I created a series of I2C client devices (formerly known as I2C slaves) using the ATtiny1616. In this video, all 9 PCBs are I2C clients. The host (aka master) device was an ESP32 board running CircuitPython.
