In the middle of British Columbia's tree fruit season AND in the middle of a tariff trade war, this is what Thrifty Foods (Sobeys affiliate) in Nanaimo has on their shelves today! I looked and did not find any Canadian alternatives. Boycotting Thrifty Foods now, which once was an independent store.

Hmmm, U.S. "collaboration" in South American joint operations (and other places around the globe) does not historically end well and usually involves massive amounts of dark money. This book is shocking and disturbing.

I'm going to re-read my collection of nuclear horror books (and 1 great parody). Unless someone is far enough way there is no way to escape an actual nuclear bomb blast, ditto for fallout. Remember nukes from/to U.S./Russia travel over the N. Pole and are intercepted mostly over Canada.

So far, only chapter 4, wherein the fictional US Pres wants Canada for it's resources, Scandinavia for it's character and later on Europe, by force if necessary. All called the Fortress of Aspen with him in charge.

Great find at my library! The book is actually Night of Camp David by Fletcher Knebel written in 1965. Can't wait to see what insights it may have. Note that it is fiction.

Wow! I graduated in 1965, also went to 188, and lived between Neptune & Mermaid. I then went to Bay Ridge HS when it was still girls only, then on to CUNY before emigrating to Canada.
