But this is promising.
From the AP story -

"That decision was based on 11th Circuit precedent, and the judges wrote separately to encourage the full appeals court to revisit those earlier decisions. Jaicomo, senior attorney with the nonprofit Institute for Justice in Arlington, Virginia, said he plans to seek that review, opening up the possibility that his clients could eventually be allowed to take the government to trial as well."

I couldn't help but notice Senator Moreno (R-OH) didn't say WHO he voted for – not for governor, not for US Senate, and not in his local race for the US House.
Tweet by Bernie Moreno @berniemoreno

Just voted and you should too!

18 months ago Ohio sent me to the US Senate with a simple job: secure the border, cut taxes for working families, and put the American people first. We did it, despite every single Senate Democrat fighting against us and all of them voting no to eliminating taxes on tips, overtime, and social security.

We fully funded the wall, immigration enforcement, and our brave Border Patrol agents. Illegal border crossings are down to ZERO for over a year! We ended the Biden border invasion. We passed the Laken Riley Act, which ensures criminal illegal aliens who hurt Americans are detained, not released.

Democrats shut the government down three times to stop border security. Not to cut spending. Not to balance the budget. To block border enforcement. They would rather freeze paychecks for TSA agents and FEMA workers than let federal law enforcement do its job. Historic opposition. We kept going anyway.

Now the same fight is on your ballot. Judges are on this ballot. The Ohio Supreme Court. The 9th District Court of Appeals. Those seats decide criminal cases, elections, and whether Ohio law means what it says, for six years at a time. State Senate. Congress. The House majority that keeps this agenda alive or hands it back.

Ohio builds things. We know what a secure border and a growing paycheck are worth. Do not sit this one out.

Vote. Tell a neighbor. November 3 is the whole ballgame.🇺🇸

Some Georgia voters (apparently Republican) think something illegal is going on b/c they've received absentee ballot applications. > Except they're not illegal, as they're not pre-filled with the person's name, address, etc, and they carry a required disclaimer. > They were sent by Republicans. 🤯
A tweet with suspicious text because the tweeter received, without request, a Georgia vote-by-mail application.

There is one tweet, dated Oct 2, 2026 -

What once was the peak, is now just the beginning.

Paramount and Warner Bros. shaped over a century of culture. By combining them, we aren't rewriting history — we're equipping these iconic studios with a more powerful engine. Together, we are Skydance: a creative-first home for bold, quality storytelling.

We chose this name for a few important reasons. First and foremost, as we bring Paramount and Warner Bros. together, we wanted to preserve what has made each of these studios iconic. Both have distinct identities, extraordinary legacies and brands that have resonated with audiences for generations. We never wanted a new corporate identity to diminish, alter or overshadow either one. Instead, we wanted a name that would give the combined company an identity of its own while allowing Paramount and Warner Bros. — and all our extraordinary brands — to remain in the spotlight.

We have big goals for Skydance, and we intend to pursue them with passion, imagination and a willingness to take smart risks. At the same time, we will honor what makes Paramount and Warner Bros. special — giving both studios the opportunity to grow, tell more great stories and bring those stories to even broader audiences around the world, powered by the scale and capabilities of Skydance.

I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re going to build together.

Below that is s 2-minute video with clips from the now-joined studios' movies, with a narrator praising their past and future.

HOT TAKE: Should the House ever decide to impeach Jared Kushner Trump, at least one article of impeachment should include at least one charge of "Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors" from his conduct during Trump I – ie, when he was a federal employee. #HRules

For anyone just tuning in: If late-arriving or rejected ballots would change the outcome in a House/Senate race, the H/S may decide to count them. Otoh, if counting late-arriving or "questionable" ballots "changed the outcome," the H/S may decide to remove them from the count. Though of course...

"Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections [and] Returns... of its own Members"

In Jurney v. MacCracken (1935), the Supreme Court upheld Congress' right to punish private citizens for contempt. In that case, the Senate – after finding two men in contempt of Congress – had them held *in the DC jail* for 10 days.

Special Committee to Investigate Air Mail and Ocean Mail Contracts

Resolution passed: February 25, 1933

Chairman - Senator Hugo Black (D-AL)

[snip]

Facing such firm opposition, Chairman Black relied on the creativity of committee investigators to secure the vital evidence. In one case, two postal workers sorted through trash bags searching for scraps of subpoenaed papers. After hours of tedious work, they succeeded in piecing several documents back together and the reassembled letters were found to contain information relevant to the investigation. The committee charged four men with contempt for attempting to destroy subpoenaed materials. The Senate found two of those men, including MacCracken, in contempt of Congress and held them in the District of Columbia jail for 10 days. A Supreme Court decision, Jurney v. MacCracken (1935), upheld Congress's right to punish private citizens for contempt.

50-state survey shows election a tossup

By CLAY F. RICHARDS, UPI Political Writer

Ronald Reagan still leads President Carter in the 1980 battle for the White House, but the president's dramatic surge in the last three weeks makes the contest a tossup, UPI's final 50-state survey showed Saturday.

[snip]

The survey also showed likely Republican gains in the House and Senate, but nowhere near the numbers needed to topple Democratic control of Congress.

Hegseth loves dropping applause lines on stage, then pausing for it, in settings where, at least by now, he must know the protocol is for the audience not to applaud. Or maybe he's envisioning, like he did on Fox News, that people are clapping at home. Or that they'll fix it in post.
