Only other possible sequence is Kayleigh murdered, then Pete banished, then Pauric joins Anna and Diego in banishing Carla. But then those two are suspicious enough of Paraic to get rid of him at the end just to be sure.

A lot of transfers between #AVFC and #CFC, yes, but here’s one way to think of it. Villa are basically Walter White — hardworking, but backed into a corner by a corrupt system designed by the super-rich — and Chelsea are… the local meth-head — an easy mark who can’t say no to one more hit.

Seems a good deal and a quality player with huge potential. Would seem that we’re still facing an issue with “homegrown” players though, if Ollie is leaving. We’ll still need a right winger and striker (after Goretzka & Ordonez) but none of the links seem to qualify as homegrown.

Didn’t Everton come in with an offer of like £10m a year or so ago? Glad we didn’t sell. I think it’s probably clear to others that we wouldn’t sell him. At his age now, nobody is likely to offer big money so it’s more worthwhile to keep him around as captain for another two years during transition.

That seems to be the path forward alright. Also need to sell Bailey. Just feels like we’re now scrambling to buy and it would look like we need a CB, a winger and a striker. Probably Harwood-Bellis or Tosin. Maybe back in for Mbaye? Then either Jackson or J. David (who isn’t keen apparently).

People in replies saying the McGinn/Madjo stats should include the PSG game: it wasn’t a pre-season friendly. It was a proper competitive game. If we’d won, we would be adamant that it’s a proper trophy. So you can’t count it in “pre-season” stats for friendlies.

Tieleman’s release clause seems crazy low at £35m for such an integral player. Hard to accept that he’d prefer to go to Utd and play for Carrick than stay as the heart of Emery’s team. With Onana injured (again) and Douglas Luiz’s loan over, we don’t look like we have a midfield all of a sudden.
