At September's Cook County Board meeting, we passed a resolution recognizing the 80th anniversary of the Saint Sophia Bulgarian Orthodox Church. The church is one of the oldest in Des Plaines and stands as a pillar of the community. I wish them many more years of prosperity!

The annual "Free Rabies Vaccine and Microchip Clinic" is coming up and will be back at the Township of Schaumburg (1 Illinois Blvd, Hoffman Estates). This is a first-come, first-served event where the first 90 pets will receive free 1-year Rabies, Distemper, and FVRCP (for cats), and Microchips.
