If it's on social media, more often than not, it's for optics. People don't tend to need to speak up in public on things they arent involved with. If the goal is "say something so people know your stance on ____ drama" without being asked and when not related to it, that is "look at me" behavior.

People need to stop thinking that every human has empathy. "so and so should be forced to live like-" Billionaires, who have gotten where they are specifically by exploiting the loopholes and lack of oversight in a capitalistic society, do not have a shred of empathy. If they're smart, they'll delay launching a PS6 for a while, but since Sony is part of the problem as they actively fund and support AI, I think them releasing a console too expensive for anyone to buy and losing massive amounts of money would be a great bit of karma.

There's probably more I could gripe about (eg. the market economy is fuuuucked) but that all said, I started fresh last year on a low pop fleet with a friend and we had a ton of fun. Highly recommend looking up resources like the Phantasy Star Fleet discord to help not be lost if you do try it out.

Endgame grind is no joke either. A chunk of it is rewarded from titles or else you have to deal with an awful grind, so most people make multiple characters instead of multiclassing on a single one. Some of the urgent quests are just unwinnable with too few people because they're tower defenses....

It's also even heavier monetized than NGS for additional things like inventory and storage space, which is needed with how much more drops. Then there's the fact you can't respec, just buy a new skill point page for the class.

That said, the western servers for classic are a massive afterthought to Sega. The JP servers have access to a lot more things on vendors that were once limited event items, west has none of it and no way to get some vendor's currency anymore because it was battle pass stuff.

PSO2 classic still has some life on it, but you'd need to look up which fleet to be on because some are just dead. I've definitely had a more enjoyable time with a friend going through that than NGS, something just felt off about NGS gameplay.

Was with you up until here. No, reporting them will not do that. They're bots, they're made with a program, join a cluster of random streams around the same time, send their message, then explode and make new ones. Twitch is not responding to reports within a 5 minute period, so it saved nobody.
