kazu @kazu.dog · 26/09/2026AI can generate working code and can sometimes even correctly explain how or why it works. However, it can never and will never give me a harshly worded and passionate thesis about why its way is the best way and why every other way sucks, and I think that might actually be very important to me. 031

Reposted by kazuRussell Irving @rginteger.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. So it warms the cockles of my heart to see so many of them having a full meltdown about the recent set. Enjoy!! 26050651383

kazu @kazu.dog · 18/09/2026Are you using Docker? You should really be using Podman, bro. Start using Quadlets. You should be using Quadlets. Don't use Docker Compose use Quadle 100
kazu @kazu.dog · 15/09/2026It’s a Pi 5! I think it’s the 8GB version, but I actually don’t remember. It was sitting on a table at our office for about year, so I eventually asked my boss if I could just have it and he said yes lol. 110
kazu @kazu.dog · 15/09/2026I actually acquired a Pi from work but I haven’t figured out what to do with it yet… 110

kazu @kazu.dog · 07/09/2026I had a friend @cape.bsky.social describe it as their “favorite art program” back in late 2024, at least in terms of digital painting (not so much for regular precision / line work). 021
kazu @kazu.dog · 26/08/2026Though based on what I’ve seen from Louis Rossmann, they wouldn’t have replaced it anyway lol 010
kazu @kazu.dog · 26/08/2026I had a 2TB Samsung SSD die back in November. I was out of the country at the time, so I figured it’d be easier to just buy a new one. So I did, and like a gremlin I peeled the stickers off of the broken one and now I can’t RMA it and they cost like 4x the price now 🥲 140

kazu @kazu.dog · 13/08/2026Last night I was thinking about how consistent the color of cardboard is. Sure there’s some variance but damn if it isn’t really close lol 140

kazu @kazu.dog · 14/06/2026I'm generally loving the Steam Controller so far, at least regarding the hardware. A 3.5mm headphone / mic combo jack would've been amazing though. Or, at the very least, a USB passthrough with the Type-C port at the top like the Stadia controller. 040
kazu @kazu.dog · 05/06/2026I’ve always wondered if people who have expressions bound to finger poses have ever subconsciously done them in irl conversations. 000

kazu @kazu.dog · 15/05/2026Trying to use SteamVR on Linux recently makes me worry about the software-readiness of the Steam Frame 020
kazu @kazu.dog · 09/05/2026When I first tried a long time ago, I felt like I was just typing commands without really understanding it, and I didn’t even manage to get it to work. I figured I’d give it another shot since I’m just more learned than I was then. And tbh I don’t know how I managed to screw it up the first time lol 010
