I made myself a hand basket. l inherited dozens of cardboard berry baskets. I've used a few to store things but I've always wanted to put them to better use. I remembered that someone had posted "I was told there would be hand baskets." And suddenly I knew what to do with them. #tohellinahandbasket

An early shellac experiment. I had seen videos of shellac burns, but for this one I wanted something darker. So I scraped some black pan pastel into a little cup of shellac. I later discovered that powdered pigments are exactly the way to color shellac. Trust your instincts! #tbt #shellacburn #art
