iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Hope i can make it work ! (ai gen image of what it could be.

following sqeezelite esp github, i tested myself to do it with IDF 5.3.1 and ADF 2.7 as it was not tried as i found. i'm really near a working prototype. some choppy audio caused by the wifi/BT coexistance on the same antenna.

So i nerd-snipped myself into checking SOCs that could : connect to wifi, decode mp3/aac/opus and pitch it via BT A2DP to anything. Without a screen. Pair it and connect to wifi once, make your presets and done. turn it on, it connect to BT and the audio feed. change stations with prev/fwd.

If you look at UX of FM radio, it is : instant, (almost) worry free and something that fill the silence of my day without thinking. it just fu** works.

My cell phone and pc. too much distractions. i'm 1 notif away from losing what i wanted to listen. Radio as a habit is incompatible with thoses things.

radio is all about HABITS. it has to be transparent to work. even if i'm a radio bitch, i hardly ever listen to it because it involves 2 things i dont want to mess with as the urge comes.

Radio time ! I looooooove radio. since a kid, i loved listening to radio and scanning the airwaves when i traveled. With internet it is cool that you can listen to any radio IN THE WORLD (me as a kid was blown away 😱). BUT !

Exactly what Cory Doctorrow presents in his 39C3 talk. We should stop pursuing hackers/crackers on DCMA basis if USA doesn't stop tarriffs.
